    Just Noticed...

    Why does it use Config Files from /username/run/etc when you actually logged in with trinity and inside of /trinity/run/bin ... how can it work :S does /username/run/etc exist on your system?(Does user "trinity" have access to this directory if yes?) It maybe also try to use maps from /username/run/bin/data instead of /trinity/run/bin/data.. in that case your maps would may be alright but cmake wrong set or something. Make sure you replace username with the usernames name you created at cmake

    Is your Realmlist correct set with the new port if you changed it? like without the "" to pretent smily
    set realmlist ip":"portnumber
    Are your Binaries started? Auth at least to see the Realmlist?

    Hey Psykko,

    Setup everything is fine and I can log into the server perfectly, however when using HeidiSQL to attempt to connect to the database I'm getting a failed connection error 10061. I kept most ports as default (as to not get to confused). It seems to be a username password issue, but even connecting as root, it still won't allow me to. I read somewhere that that issue is normally caused by the MySQL server not-running? Any advice for this issue?

    Thanks,
    Exo

    Hello there Exo, do you try to login with the user root on your mysql server? If yes, you would need to ALTER the user to be unbound from localhost to be able to be used from outside the host.

    Otherwise you should check Part 3 | 4.1 User and Database Setup for an external user to connect from your location to the mysql on your host

    Screen will allow you to run authserver and worldserver in the back without needing the server open.
    THIS IS A MUST!!!
    Code:

    Code:
    #!/bin/bash

    # Restart the worldserver on exit unless exit code 255 is returned
    # Clean server shutdown can be done with
    #       server shutdown <delay> 255 [message]
    # where <delay> is a time delay in seconds before server goes down.
    # [message] is an option message sent to all players

    RESTART=1
    while [$RESTART -eq 1]; do
        ./worldserver
        if [$? -eq 255] then
            RESTART=0

    if you have followed the tutorial as i provided it, the kill command should be

    killall screen

    or manually find out the PID per running ps -fx and seek out for the number infront of the progress of the SCREEN... then u goin to run kill pid
    example: kill 12456
