I had a problem. I got this error with apache. I didnt do the no-up thing. I had the dynDNS as my ip for the server and for the website account creation page.

if you keep getting that error then you should check the accepted patches for your server and check what patch you are on right now and see if your server accepts that patch

If you get mysql error just hold "alt" and "delete" and "ctrl" and close mysql servers and apeach servers that are running on processes.

if you get unable to velidate gameversion just go into logon.conf and roll down until you see something like this
<Client MinBuild = "6000"
MaxBuild = "7000">

Change the maxclientbuild to 10000 then it should work until patch 5.5.2 or something.

dude you dont get it lol, you cant use no ip for your server, its for the website and your router will be on there, you just gotto look, and it will work if you do it right

i don't get the difference between the inbound ports, and the private ports..

wow that like includes every thing

your privet ip is usually 1 or 100
where the inbound port are whats coming in
ex of inbound is 3424 to 3245 or 3424 - 3245

the ip address bit , u put the end of your ip address on, im not sure what the difference is, maybe you should try putting the ports in both and see if it works, just try stuff out

But..maybe I'm to silly,well i done everything you wrote but if I want to start it says something Like:One or more errors occured while connecting..and the Ascent server :sql: Main database intialization failed.Exiting

Please help me.

I used the map extractor before and just used those maps instead of this one, I hope that didn't change anything but im getting this error

have you installed a new database, if not, your confs are wrong or your have moved a file into the wrong place in your folders.

Ive never had that error before, but i cant even log onto my friends server because of this new patch now :S Maybe if you tell me the error, i might be able to help

its the new 2.3 patch which does it.

Is the only way around it to downgrade the client?

u could try that or download the new repack coming out for the 2.3 patch

Also i'd like to know how to avoid the autoupdating when logging on wow, so ican play with patch 2.2

i've done everything the guide says,
made it public like you said, and everything works fine..
except when i start up the realmserver..
made a screen of it..
how i fix this?

Fix: Don't use realmserver. It's not needed.

ok ty.. (had problems with .net framework perviously, couldnt use the normal launcher)
bt now it works all again..
but got another problem..
ascent exits as soon as its done :S
posted a screen... (always helps )
