Hey thanks, but i cant add the stuff in creature_proto. It says something about a colum error in row 1 or some jargon. I have tried for half an hour to fix it myself with no avail. any ideas? im using heidisql

ok i have a fix without updating database structures. At the end of the insert ito 'creature_proto' line there will be '8', '14', '0', '0', '0', '0', '0', '0'); or something on those lines. There only needs to be one zero. so just delete the rest like this:

'8', '14', '0');

There is a major prolem with the whole thing though. If melee trainer that does warriors etc, doesnt have all the stuff to teach you, only the stances. Same if your a rogue and same with all the guys that that guy helps. he only teaches what other trainers cannot. The mage guy by the way is fine, hes great.

Why doesnt the main melee guy train everything?

hmm the strange thing is that most ppl dont have the problem with melee,
i tryed run the sql myself into my database, and melee trains every class train for warrior, hunter, rogue, shaman and pala. most other hasnt had that problem either, i released the trainers in other forums too, no one reported that issue there, may i suggest you try and reinstall the global melee spell sql?
it will not come errors of rerunning the sql, cause i made it so it
deletes the old spells first then reinstalls them.

i have testet them out and works perfect for me.

if it fails in one sql program, ill suggest you try another.

you have: navicat, heidisql and sqlyog

in sqlyog i normally just open the sql file in notepad, copys all data into query window and choose run all queries. then i get a kind of log that shows me wich query got added and not without whole sql stops with error message

I did what he suggested by deleting those zeros and I am having the same problem? Maybe we can't delete those zeros and we do have to update the database? How in the world of i do that?? I am using Howlings and I want to keep everything in their so how do I update the structure then?

Ive got a question though. Im looking for a repack thats up to date and has a built in mall already (Not on gmisland). Anyone know of one?

Yes howlings 2.4.1 masterpiece. Its a great repack with a teleporter npc and a horde mall in the ring of valour and a ally mall in stormwind keep. the mall has trainers, portals to battlegrounds and everything.

Anyway, knaur me and racedude are having the same problems and we both deleted the extra 4 '0's so whats going on? how do we update database structure? i read something like adding %s at the end of the query or something makes it so that it adds the missing colums or something but i dont know and i doubt it would work anyway. So help us if you can, your trainers rock so bad and id love to get rid of the other ones.

oh yeah and i tried running the global melee spells again but it keeps the same stuff. Strange it has all the spells that other melee trainers dont teach such as berserker stance and defensive stance but no others...

well, i never had to delete any 0,s my self in the compiles,
its made after the repack database im making myself right now,
Norwegian Elite Database 5.0 and are based out from ABD rev 290
you find theyr changeset sql updates in theyr svn if they didnt
close that down when they stopped develope it.
Try look for those changesets for ABD, thats my best advice

and if you open the melee spell sql in notepad, you will see that all spells are there, that file has more spells than caster one.
if you fail with your sqleditor to add the melee, try another sqleditor maybe

Norwegian Elite 5.0 database will be released sometime this summer
and will include the trainers and some stuff like:

Id rather not put in a new database, i likke the one that came with howlings compile. All the spells are in the trainer, i checked. I reinstalled but they dont appear ingame. Why oh why!! i love your trainers!! cmon we gotta figure out why it doesnt work. Is it because of your database? ill try clearing my cache

heres something new, my gnome rogue has nothing in its list to be trained in. It does in a normal trainer??

hmm, shall not have anything with my database to do, if it was database error, no spells should be there at all, in any of the trainers.

im gonna take alook at the sql,s and see if i can find some
of the problems, hmm, one thing, the trainer defs table.

can you check that you find both 30030 and 30040 entry
in the trainer_defs table of your database,
maybe if 30040 are missing there, it may be the problem

kaelis thats what knaurs is tryint to fix. it seems that some people are having this problem when some others arent.

Knaurs, both the entries in the trainer_defs are in there properly. its not that. Can other Trainers conflict with eachother?
