    Hey, all.

This may be an extremely irrelevant question. I wanted to try out the single player repacks, but all of the WotLK clients I've downloaded will automatically reset the realmlist.wtf file to their respective servers. I've downloaded from multiple different sites/servers, including Warmane, Eternal and some other pretty random sites, but have had no luck. I've tried practically every mentioned fix out there for this issue, but I keep running into the same problem.

    Thanks for your help.

Check that the realmlist.wtf file is not write protected. Navigate to the location and right-click on the realmlist.wtf file and select properties. It should not be read-only.

Yeah, that was the first thing I tried. Unchecked read-only and changed it. It resets every time I start up WoW.exe.

If you are using a any launcher (even the Blizzard one) to start the game, don't. Only start the client via Wow.exe directly. The resetting of the realmlist.wtf is part of what it does (at least for custom launchers).

If that still fails, try the client from here: http://wiki.eternal-wow.com/index.ph...l_Instructions, do not download the launcher or the patches. I checked the Wow.exe from the download link and binary compared it to the Wow.exe on my machine and it is identical. Come to think of it, try just downloading the Wow.exe from there and use that to start the game client. The rest of the client data should be fine.
