Hello guys, i'm not really sure if anyone here still works with Custom Models but the other forum which is more related to this kind of things is kinda dead now. And yes i know the name of the forum i just dont advertise ^^ Anyway. I made a sword model in blender and imported to wow and the texture was really deformed and looks very weird. A few days later i made an axe and it worked perfectly fine. Then i decided to remake the sword from scratch and i get the same weird texture deform results... I really cannot figure out whats wrong. I generated new m2 and skin files. new texture new UV Maps and all is new from scratch. And obviously i edited ItemDisplayInfo.dbc too and added all to the patch and deleted cache. It kinda feels like there is something wrong about sword models in wow....

Here is 4 images to show what im talking about

    Vertex count ? UVs ?
I had the same issue on custom Jedi Academy model. I was needed to split my model's edges by its UV islands, idk if it has something to do with WoW.

Try to select these edges and use "edge split", see if it works.

The model has 434 vertices so its not a problem with vertex count. And i have marked UV Seams but i have not spltted the model. But i didnt have to do it for my axe...

Hmm, I've come across this before. I always managed to fix it by exporting to .3ds and reimporting before exporting it to .obj.

Give it a try, and see if it works for ya.
