    Can you help me with a game breaking bug I found? I have auto scaling turned on and set so that all enemies are my level in the world. (I used your exact instruction above and it worked perfectly for my other 4 toons.)

    BUT I just created a female night elf priest and started in Teldrassil. All the enemies are level 11, not level 1. I ran around doing non-killing quests until I leveled up to 2, but this still did not update the creatures there. Everything remained at level 11.

    Are you aware of this bug? Is this something I can fix so I can play night elf priest in Teldrassil?

    THANKS!

    OK I figured it out. Somehow one of my other toons who is level 11 had caused the night elf starting area to be level 11, even though I have never played in that zone yet. I thought that autobalance only affected zones you actually visited? That's why I thought it was a bug.

    A quick restart of the server set all the levels back to normal again.

    Thanks for the update! And yes, that was my first thought too =)

    Hi all, having a bit of an issue with the the world level scaling. Just cannot seem to get it working. Even tried deleting the balance solo docs after disabling them didnt help. Any advise?

    #
    # AUTOBALANCE OPTIONS
    #
    # AutoBalance.enable
    # Enable/Disable Autobalance system
    # Default: 1 (1 = ON, 0 = OFF)

    AutoBalance.enable=1

    # AutoBalance.InflectionPoint
    # Adjust value of Hyperbolic Tangent function where
    # the curve of scaling must change. A lower value means higher difficulty.
    #
    # Example: with 0.5, a creature of raid (40) will have half of its life with 20 players in
    # with 0.8, the same creature will have half of its life with 12 players in
    #
    # Default: 0.5

    AutoBalance.InflectionPoint=0.5

    # AutoBalance.numPlayer
    # Set Server to level of solo mode.
    # Set to 0 to Disable -SOLO Mod.
    # Example: .AutoBalance.XPlayer = 1 will set everything for a 1 player game.
    # Default: 1

    AutoBalance.numPlayer=1.0

    #
    # AutoBalance.levelScaling
    # Check the max level of players in map and scale creature based on it
    # 0 = Disabled
    # 1 = Enabled only in dungeons
    # 2 = Always enabled
    # Default: 1

    AutoBalance.levelScaling=2

    #
    # AutoBalance.levelHigherOffset
    # AutoBalance.levelLowerOffset
    # Level Offsets between creatures will not be scaled by level.
    # You can even use it to disable scaling from lower to higher levelScaling
    # setting levelLowerOffset to 80 (max wotlk level) for example.
    # default: 3 (higher), 0 (lower)

    AutoBalance.levelHigherOffset = 3
    AutoBalance.levelLowerOffset = 80

    #
    # AutoBalance.levelUseDbValuesWhenExists
    # When enabled with levelScaling, the creature will use its default database values
    # instead of level scaling formula when player/party level has correspondance with
    # creature_template minlevel/maxlevel.
    #
    # Default: 0 (1 = ON, 0 = OFF)

    AutoBalance.levelUseDbValuesWhenExists = 0

    #
    # AutoBalance.LevelEndGameBoost
    # End game creatures have an exponential (not linear) regression
    # that is not correctly handled by db values. Keep this enabled
    # to have stats as near possible to the official ones.
    #
    # Default: 1 (1 = ON, 0 = OFF)

    AutoBalance.LevelEndGameBoost = 1

    #
    # AutoBalance.Instances
    # Set instances to Auto chance XPlayer depending on players in it.
    # Default: 1 (1 = ON, 0 = OFF)

    AutoBalance.Instances=1
    #
    # AutoBalance.DungeonsOnly
    # Only apply scaling changes to dungeons and raids
    # Default: 1 (1 = ON, 0 = OFF)
    AutoBalance.DungeonsOnly=0
    The basic set up here is stock standard with just the enabling/disabling but thought i would post it just incase i am missing something?

    Thanks

    I am wondering the exact same thing. The Ahbot seems to be working well enough after tweaking it's settings. But even though I set it (in the SQL) to have 500 min, 200 max items, I ONLY always get exactly 249 items in the AH. If we could set it to a higher number it would drastically improve the single player experience.

    - - - Updated - - -

    On a related ahbot topic, does anyone else have the problem that EVERY item in the AH is only level 1 (even if the item level is much higher in the tooltip). This adds an immersion breaking problem that it would be technically possible to buy (and equip) a level 40 sword at level 1 and ruin the game's progression. I tested that and it works.

    1. If the AH can only display the items as "level 1" then would it be possible at least that the item levels itself would prohibit a lower level character from equipping them?

    2. Is there a way to make the Ahbot sell glyphs and other crafted items?

  7. #1642
    I have worldwide enemy scaling, as per your instructions in the first post.

    Question: Do the following options affect the entire world or instance only? (It would be great if we could tweak difficulty outside dungeons and inside separately.)

    AutoBalance.rate.global = 1.0
    AutoBalance.rate.health = 1.0
    AutoBalance.rate.mana = 1.0
    AutoBalance.rate.armor = 1.0
    AutoBalance.rate.damage = 1.0

    I agree! I have my SQL set for min 500 and max 2000, but I always get only exactly 249 items for sale in the AH. Is there a way for us to change that?

    Also, is there a way to get the ahbot to sell glyphs and bags, and other important crafted items?

    Hi there,

    I wanted to find out of you could assist me with a query on the world scaling feature.

    I am unable to get it to work, i have disabled and even gone as far as to delete the balancesolo folders to try and now luck. Also tried matching up the non config folder up to the config one and no changes.

    Any advice?

    Please see the transcript of the entire Autobalance.config folder for your reference:

    you need to completely wipe\restard Ahbot with these settings to apply

    Hello, I am back after a bit of a hiatus. Did I miss any major updates to the repack?

    - - - Updated - - -

    I've tried to update to 1.39, but when I try to execute the Azeroth Launcher, this error message from autheserver.exe occurs:

    The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140_1.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.

    EDIT: NVM, We're good. Had to reinstall something.

    Personally, I do not use the auction house bot, so my information is limited. There have been lengthy discussions regarding its use, however, posted earlier in this thread, I suggest you seek them out. @santos416 has given good instruction and advice concerning buying and selling using the AHBot. A quick search brought me to posts #1123 and #1074, but you can probably find more if you read through the thread around these postings.

    Also, if I remember correctly, @BrooksTech re-wrote (or modified) the AHBot found in this repack; it is not the same module as that offered by others. Whether or not this affects corresponding GM commands, or what they are specifically, I do not know, just something for you to keep in mind.

    As far as I'm aware, AutoBalance only affects instances, not the general world. @BrooksTech is developing BalanceSolo, which is a module designed to control the levels of mobs in all areas of gameplay. Last I heard, the download link for the updated core that includes this module has been de-activated (check the main post of this thread to see if its been re-activated or not).

    Sorry guys! I don't have much time right now, but for the AuctionHouse look in the database world->AuctionHouseBot for additional settings.

    @vratam You've been an all-star, thanks!
