I tried doing that with the enGB client and had lots of small issues (similar to what you're experiencing) until I switched over to the enUS client. Food for thought.

BrooksTech, when replacing the newest Tileset with the one from last week, there is a size difference. With the newest one being larger? Did something change in the Tileset Patch?

    Thanks!

EDIT: I see, it's now using Finsternis's latest tileset. I actually like previous one better. It uses the more "Blizz" like textures, which are overall brighter and more colorful. I also do not prefer the darker, more "Warcraft movie" aesthetic of Ironforge.

    Newest Darker Ironforge - > https://i.imgur.com/EZOKGrE.png
    Older Brighter Ironforge - > https://i.imgur.com/41DM2QA.png
    Vanilla Ironforge https://i.imgur.com/o5OqLVO.png

Of course everyone will have different taste.

    @Ravoz

I'm merging the Patch-T that you like into patch-f alongside some other things. In that way, people can choose to use the other patch-t (the large one) if they want too or any other tileset they come across as long as it's loaded after f.

Thank you BrooksTech! I, too, prefer the "older, brighter" tilesets of Stormwind and Ironforge. With all the merging you're doing, I've kind of gotten lost as to what's what and where now. I guess I'll sit back and wait for you to accomplish all you're doing. Hopefully you will give us some brief descriptions of what the different patch options are specifically overriding. I'm envisioning a multitude of configurations your patches will provide, depending upon personal taste (tilesets, chopper, water, etc.), and I'm excited to step up my setup by utilizing them

I too was a little confused, but today I worked through them. I am also very excited for the finished product here! Merging and simplifying the patches is pretty awesome too. And with being able to mix and match smaller pieces of them, like the chopper is really great.

I also hope my previous post didn't come off as complaining about the Tileset patch. I do prefer the previous version, and so hopefully my comparison pics can help people see what each do in advance. I apologize for anyone who primarily plays Horde, since I didn't include any of the horde capital city's. As far as I can tell, the only change may be in the roofs in Org. But there could be bigger differences.

Hey guys, thanks for the input!

Personally, I prefer the larger tileset, but having simple, clear options is good. Once patch-f is in its final form, I will give a break down of what is inside of it. But for now, cata-water(new version I just finished today), sunglare-, HD-Tiles, Cata-trees are all on board now. (I've not uploaded it yet).

@Ravoz I just checked. I'm using revised patch Brooks just put up and deleted the ones he said we could. I have the tiles showing for the older lighter ones. Is this not correct or what you preferred?

It's a little hard to judge since there are no obvious reflections to distinguish color variations but, overall, it looks to me that it could use some more blue. I like to think its more the Caribbean and less the North Atlantic.

Getting blue is harder than you may think. The reflection surface is rather hard to work with. I think this is why we see more green than anything when dealing with this water type. But I am working with it =)

I have always liked the blue/white glittering water in the Darnassus area. I also think the graphics can be e little bit more like the older, brighter textures of older patches for some things ( Darnassus, Stormwind )
It could be useful to have an extra-patch for water+trees, because that seems to be the main things that players want in different forms.
Great work on the patches, by the way, keep up the good work!

I'm color blind, so I'm not the best when it comes to color recommendation haha. Especially greens.

With the current quarantine, working from home, and with my wife and two sons being home, it has been tricky to find time to hop onto the computer. I will need to download the graphic pack again to see what the latest config is.
