    Question [TrinityCore C++] Add custom code to Player.cpp

    Hello everyone , im very new to the trinitycore scene and i asked myself if its okay to edit player.cpp directly?

    I want to add some Custom method to player.cpp -> build then use them in a custom script then -> re build

    that will works in that way ?

    Of course it's okay to edit Player.cpp or any other file within trinitycore source as long as you know what you're doing.

    Usually, core edits don't require a patch.
    It depends on what you're trying to achieve.

    your idea is good, just the words are incorrect. the proper way to edit code source is to create hooks then create new scripts with the hooks you did. that way you don't heavy edit the code and can keep it clean/updating your core with trinity. however if you plan to create custom methods and functions you're not forced to write them directly in player.cpp/h you can create new files.

    What IDE u use? VS?
