hi, my main pc killed itself a couple of days ago. I had all my server files stored there, luckily I have a backup of all SQL tables as well as the entire dbc folder. I'm wondering if these files are enough to recreate everything that was lost? assuming of course I compile anew on another pc

Short answer: Yes ... with reservations.

    Longer Answer:
To be pretty much guaranteed success, you would need to compile the same version of the code that you used previously. Both Trinity and MaNGOS have a version string in the database so you should be able to find which version you need from the database backups (I pretty sure other cores also have a version string as well).

If instead you compile a newer version, then you will likely need to apply updates to the databases in order to get it working with the newer code base This can be a little annoying depending on how old, version wise, your database backup is.

Of course, this all assumes that the database backups are complete. If you are missing anything, then you might be S.O.L.
