A few details you may want to include with the thread:

What is the processor? You've listed it's a quad core, but what's the clock speed?

Is the network speed of 100 Mbit/s a shared connection between all of the machines on the node?

"Due to the fact that our DDoS Protected Server is fully occupied with other online games" -- Are you saying that the server that has DDoS protection is full, implying that these don't have it?

    Best of luck to you!

    Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1240 v3 @ 3.40GHz

    Yes it is shared.

This a cheaper version of our DDoS Protected nodes, it still comes w/ a DDoS Protection(Software) which can mitigate small types of attacks.

    Best of luck to you!
    Have a great day sir

This is a decent processor for servers running a few game servers, depending on how populated they are. Is the CPU also shared between all of the servers on the node? If so, having more than one or two servers using a high amount of processing power simultaneously will lower the performance for everyone on the node. Reference The Tragedy of the Commons.

100 Mbit/s being shared between multiple servers may cause a noticeable problem rather quickly. If more than one or two people on the entire node are trying to download, every server will notice a degradation in their connection. Another Tragedy of the Commons situation.

What's the largest scale attack you've been able to mitigate with this software? Bare in mind, all of your clients are sharing a 100 Mbit/s connection. If one gets hit and exceeds the threshold of your software, they'll all go down. A third example of Tragedy of the Commons.

Don't take this an attack. It looks like you've got a decent business model. I'm just trying to provide constructive criticism to help you improve going forward. Everyone starts somewhere.

    Hi Tekkie,

I really appreciate that you take time to post something on the thread.

It will never affect other users as they have limits on their designated resources. Other than that our servers are highly monitored and it notifies us whenever there's a user that abuses the resources.

Our servers runs on a Gbps network speed which I will not put a number.
Do take note that they are only limited to 100Mbit/s connection so they will never ever affect other users as well and we are instantly notified if ever there are some users that use too much resources.

Our Software DDoS Protection can only mitigate small size of attacks, however if the attacks are larger than its limits, we will not be able to mitigate it.

    Thanks alot

Are you able to give us a number for size of mitigation?

So you're saying that they have limits on the resources, meaning they don't actually have access to all four cores?

It's 1 Gbit/s. You're giving each client 100 Mbit/s, so you won't have a problem with that. You will if your attack exceeds 1 Gbit/s, though.

Software firewalls will only go so far.

This sounds like a really good deal!

Not that expensive, can hold a great amount of players on a Server, Its protected... This can help a lot of ppl with their servers in my opinion.

Why not 150 players for $25 anymore? Do we choose our own WoW server or is it a repack?

    Hi Nosflin,

Thank you for taking a time to comment.

We have lessened the players base to be safe.

It is not a repack and we only do free server setups w/ TrinityCore, no other cores.

    Thank you.
