So I've got a lot of people asking me how to make a repack... Explaining them how to pull the source and compile it is not much of an issue. However, when it comes down to making the MySQL server 'portable', they fail at writing a simple .bat file to make the server run.
Many people copied the Apache and MySQL from Jargs' repack, but it was outdated. Nowadays using that old 5.0.45 MySQL causes version mismatches, and could possibly cause data corruption. Therefore, I've uploaded these two archives which'll contain both a portable MySQL 5.1.0 and a portable MySQL 5.5.9, which are more commonly used in the latest revision of Trinity. They were tested and found working with my own repack. The Apache comes with a Trinity Account Registration page, but that can easily be removed by deleting the content of the 'htdocs' folder. The actual text of the .bat file can be customized by altering the .bat file via notepad. (Only change / add text. Don't change the command line(s).)
The actual MySQL login information is:
- Host: localhost
- User: root
- Pass: ascent
- Download the portable Apache + MySQL 5.1.0 (FTP)
- Download the portable Apache + MySQL 5.5.9 (FTP)
P.S: A guide on how to make your own server can be found here.
And a guide on how to create your own portable MySQL server can be found here.
