View Full Version : Is technology makeing it easier for people in their life?

From the early age until today ,the humankind have been reasearching and finding out new information and technology. Its still people living as hunters and collectors today. The bushmenn works average 2 hours a day and they do decide when the work should be done theirselves. In difference from our method of living in the capitalism we works a average of 8 hours a day 5 days a week.We need to change personality when the jobb starts at a decided time of the day and work until annother decided time.

so i want to hear your opinions about technology asly have made it easier or harder for the mankind.

Basically the human race is degrading faster with technology. Exercise was forced because of more manual labor and less easy transportation methods. Now people can cram their faces with unhealthy (as in read the food pyramid) and doing little to no physical activity thus making a fat society.

The movie "WALL-E" actually painted a very detailed picture about where mankind is going to be headed if we rely too much on our technology. I know, it's a kid-movie but it seems probable :P

SolomonGM your asly showing a good point, i have also seen that movie with my little sister. I do think it shows how bad it can go with the global warming and the fact that we use to much and become addicted to it. But my question is, whats the better life?is the technology, the science and our new things realy better than working usualy only 20% of what we do today?

In my honest opinion, technology is good mostly for entertainment. Also, technology can lead to idiots that don't know how to handle their time, self-respect, respect for others, and common sense. But that's how the human population is; for every intelligent mind, there are 3 dumb ones... or something like that.

Statistically (though I know this doesn't represent an accurate representation), you're saying that out of the ~150,000 members registered on AC-Web, about 37,500 of them are intelligent...

Have you guys ever heard of the saying:
"Their are lies, damn lies, and statistics."

I am bringing this up because statistics can be bogus quite easily. The people who did it could have forced certain results.

If by intelligent, you mean not stupid when off the interwebz, then yes, that sounds about right.
