If there isn't a god.. What explains Exorcism?

I'll agree, exorcism and possession is pretty fucking interesting, it makes you think about the whole demons and Devil and God thing. Then again, it could just be superstition and the power of persuasion, like I do something to make you feel better so you think you'll feel better and then because you think you will feel better you start to feel better. Dammit, I can't remember the word for that!! D: But yeah, it's a pretty interesting topic, I'd love to see one be done but I'm sure it is nothing like the way exorcisms are portrayed on tv and in movies.

a lot of the possesion and excorsism info, only becomes possesion and excorsism info because religious fanatics have a seizure and instead of getting a doctor to check them for strokes and such, they get a priest to come baptise them. and then the media gets hold of it and it becomes some bloke being possessed by the devil himself, when actually it was a medical occurrence that probably happens everyday.

although if there are any religious fanatics (i say fanatics, i want to say worse but this is the intellectual forum :D ) on here then they will of course say "well no one knows what causes fits, so how do you know its not religious experience"

which is why it is so hard to argue a point against religion, there are no solid facts for or against :(

There are a few requirements for something to be a language. For example, Klingon is a certified language. Making a few things up and "translating" it to English doesn't make it a language.

Alright, say that you're sick. I come in and I'm a priest and I scream religious hoo-haw and then say you are healed. Since you think you are healed and will now get better, you miraculously do and you are convinced it was God who saved you. It is all about mindset, like a placebo kind of.

look at seizures and other medical conditions that make you lose control of your muscles. as for psychologically, look at people who are mentally retarded. Some can't speak english, others speak a partial english. It isn't tongues, The brain just cannot comprehend how to pronounce the word or simply just cant.

Your brain is what controls alot of things you do actually. No mystical deity or spirit. Think of it like a computer that has packets sent to it to scramble languages and changes yours to german or something. Kinda the same thing, or deleting the files that allow your computer to translate binary into letters.

Thats kinda like what it is.
