OK ya go ahead say that vista sucks, but when you have multiple cores and lots of RAM it's better than XP. Anyway whenever I try to change my realmlist.wtf the game is unable to connect, I don't know why it does that, all I do is change the realmlist, and then when I revert back it's unable to connect again, and then I have to repair to get it working retail again.

I disagree with your point on vista. I have been using it for around 2 months now and the only thing it has over XP is the search feature. Apart from that it is alot worse, alot programs are nto compatible with it, it's slower, and it gives very anoying administrator permision pop-ups everytime you try and edit something. Back on topic...
What does your realmlist actually say?

no I've been doing private servers ever since they first surfaced, I know exactly what I'm doing, it's just for somereason if I edit the realmlist file, now it says unable to connect. Before I connected to my private server, then I went back to retail (spelt correctly) and it said unable to connect. So I decided to go back to my private server, and it said unable to connect. It was messed up, I'm just wondering if anyone else had this problem with Vista.
And Jargs I have a Quad Core, which XP doesn't really take use of, so Vista is way faster for me.

using Vista 5 and something months and i can tell ya Jargs be happy you have vista. :P
Xp dont have self repair software when your program or software or whatever crashes.. when i had xp and for expamle i was doing a pic in cs3 and cs3 crashed.. i lost all my stuff... and in vista you have 3 options... restart the program.. keeps stuff 60% depens on software... find solution to not crashing again or just close it with not error stuff..
then the pop up administator is just secturity and by time you are waiting will the pop up will display it is actually scanning the file.. some files are unknown softwares or non licenced or whatever.. and vista is scanning if it is malware safe.. i readed this on some site can't remember now..
and when you have for example 2 gb ran and DUAL core you are faster than xp... depends on other stuff.. and quad core.. uff thats the power.. :P
And did you try to reinstall wow?

click on start or windows key, then search or notepad, right click on it then run
as administrator, then goto c:\program files\world of warcraft then open realmlist.wtf then try to change it

I actually just downloaded the AC web realmlist changer and ran it with administrative rights and it worked, however if I do it the old way it still messes up, which is wierd, oh well I have it working now, thanks for all your help.
and Lumiere, ya Quad Cores are pretty sweet when it comes to Vista and Gaming :p

Ripetomatoe:
first maybe u were just unlucky and all servers were screwed and u were unable to connect:D
second maybe you made mistake in your realmlist
third maybe your wow was blocked by your firewall
fourth maybe you didnt run wow as administrator

I've been using Vista Since release (Ultimate) and thought there are a few bugs, its tonned better then XP. It just depends what uses your after.
Truth is Vista has different appeals to different people.
