Mhm, I couldn't really come up with an interesting title.

The first thing I would like to point out is, are there any other Women on Ac-Web?

I recently put an application in for a position on any server. My first application was noted as an application with little detail to it. Today, I posted a new application, updated, with a little more detail on what I do and who I am. I received both negative and positive feedback, through MSN & the posting itself.

To the boys; Is calling someone of the opposite sex on these forums a, Tranny, Shemale, Mangirl, Fake bitch, Slut or any of the other derogative terms, the same as you calling another person of the same-sex, stupid, ignorant, ect.?

That's sort of what I've caught on to. I appear to be almost like an illusion in this type of world (The tech world) to a lot of people, yet it doesn't appear to be anything about me, other than the fact that I'm a female.

I've learned that just like someone else on these forums, specifically boys, being called stupid, noob, ect. is the equivalent of me being called tranny and what not. I was told by someone that, after a while, I should just 'Tell everyone I'm a man, so that they'll stop' ..Which would be fine if it stopped, the only problem I have with it is, If I did that.. Every other girl just like me would get stepped on. I find it very easy to ignore the comments either way, but It does get a little annoying, though I'm sure you all get annoyed being called whatever is people think of to call you.

It's a big mess of rambling but hopefully you all get my point.

Why even share your sex? Who cares really (as long as you are not posing as the opposite sex ).
The only reason why people won't believe you is because a lot of people have taken advantage of desperate, basement dweller teenagers, posing as women. So my advice is to just don't share your sex if you don't want people to question it. It's not like you can prove it anyways, and as I already mentioned it doesn't even matter.
I am for example a 24yr old guy, yet do I type it in every second post? No, because it doesn't matter.
