I downloaded the repack and did nothing but extracted the maps and put them into the ArcEmu folder and then tried to run the server. (Apache + MySQL + Logonserver running ofc)
So what's up with the Optional.conf? ;o
Someone please explain to me what to do.. been away from private servers for a long time and been playing alot of retail :P

how can i make regular level 1 characters? any character that creates a character using the account creation tool is level 80 to start... even when i create an account using Heidi sql the characters anyone makes are instantly 80... with? i just want level 1's to be made... GM field is blank too.

- In your config files there's a file named Optional.conf where you can choose your server's starting level.

- I'm not going to reinstall my Win7 because something wrong with one damn Optional.conf file wtf =DDD

- Nevermind got the problem solved by entering a few "/"'s in the config file as i checked the other config files for general looks :)

Conclusions:
I'm quite unsatisfied because there's no working ICC :S
also some huge major bugs around.. i would have just used the repack to try out a few specs and encha/gem combinations to try out what kind of dps i do with some friends also interested in the same thing.

are there any changes in progress for this? a ton of bugs.... quests showing low level when they're you're level. quests showing up at NPC's when they're 20 levels higher. spells that are suppose to last 30 minutes (paladin newbie spells) wear off randomly 5-10 minutes. some spells you can't use anymore unless you cast blessing of might...... then it unlocks the ability to cast others... just a ton of issues.

nvm to said above i found a fix, if you cnat get teh logonserver to run correctly check your logon config and makee sure the listen hosts are set to 127.0.0.1 i changed that from 0.0.0.0 and it worked for me great repack yea some nugs present but ill deal, since im taking progtamming in college perfect challenge for me, fix the bugs thanx guys you always pull through

haha just read my post from whe i was half drunk haha, anyways, i havent figure it out fully yet, but there is a way to raise teh rep w/ the gm commands, gotta find teh faction ids from an outer source tho, i havent found any northrend faction ids yet the only northrend factions ive been able to get exalted with ate kirin tor wyrmrest ebon blade and argent crusade just look up the iteem commendation badge for each of these and spawn 250 in your bag use em you should get exalted, if i can find a list of northrend faction ids ill post it, for now all i care about is netherwing so for any of those who want your netherwing drakes type this command .char setstanding 1015 43000 boom exalted with nether wing, but you cant talk to the guys in the ledge so youll have to either
spawn the item for the mount or just give it to another vendeor to buy from, good luck guys, not many bugs, and oh to the frostmourne guy thats kinda weird cuz i got frostmourne equipped to my guy and i can go everywhere

Ok, I've managed to get everything else working except the EXTERNAL IP. localhost and the internal IP are working fine, suggestions?

Also, npcs in the fargodeep mine and stormwind stockade and basically everyone underground or in an instance are not fighting. They make the noise sometimes like they are attacking but do not engage in combat. Suggestions?

The optional.conf problem can be easly fixed. You just have to add a / In the whole beginning of the program, hence it was a small C++ error made. The beginning brackets wern't defined as a 'Comment'. That for.

I currently have a copy of wow setup for a private server that is 3.2.2a if I just patch it forward to 3.3.2 and modify the realm list, should I still be able to use the 9.0 repack?.... An advanced I'm sorry, because I am a total noob to running and setup of private servers. I will promise though I am a very fast learner

Well now I realized, at the moment with they new account merge with battlenet that blizzard has done makes it not possible to log in if you patch up to 3.3.2 using the retail launcher. So I found the old patches and downloaded and applied them individually and low and behold bam now I can log in.

Now the next step is the sort through the thousand how to go public tutorials and find the one that actually works, because the first 4 that I've tried have been wrong, I don't know if it's a coding issue with 9.0 or if it's just simply not setup properly, either way the hunt for a solution continues. Anybody knows a good fix please feel free to contact me I would so appreciate the help. frostyuz@comcast.net

ok i am new here. let me start sayng i love this ultimate repack. but i have 2 questions:
1: there will be a version for 3.3.3a? since it does not work after you patch wow.
2: when i depatch and i tried was awesome. but i have a real big problem. gm/admin commands did not work for me. i could not use simple commands like .add .additemset .npc spawn etc. i got ingame an admin level but without any access to the gm/admin commands? and if it let me use .add command for exaple it just say to me "you must choose a creature" so i cannot give miself items only other players on an offline game???!!!!
help. i would like someone post a list of all the gm/admin commands this repack uses since i know this "private servers" as we can say uses different commands than the real blizzard commands.

Alright, to view all commands ingame type .help or .command .....and its .character additem or .character additemset here lol. and ofcourse lookup is .lookup (item or w/e) then name....so .lookup item Quel'Danar or something....and spawn is .npc spawn ...so just lookup yer commands, and make sure you have az permisions w/ Navicat or something.

for the not working shadowmourne, that is because there is a visual effect on the item which the core doesnt support yet. i had this problem aswell with the shaman T10 shoulders and back in the day of TBC with the warlock T6 helmet and i once tried adding items from patch 3.2.2 to a 3.2.0 server using an item adder. equiping it all restulted in teleporting to the starting zone (for GMs being GMIsland for DKs Acherus and for the different races their starting zones).
the only thing that is needed for this is a core update so the visuals are actually supported.

alright. got a tons of questions. hope some of you can help me out. 1: there will not be an ultimate repack for patch 3.3.3a? 2: it can be done with some other program rather than apache? since lately on both of my computers with windows xp home edition sp 3 (x86) and windows 7 ultimate (x64) got the same error <OS 10048> already look it up on internet. its because the sock port 80 may be used by other program like skype or windows service like IIS. IIS disabled on both os and no program like skype on none of the pcs. no idea how to solve since netstat -a says that that port its never on use. this happened to me with the ultimate repack 9.0 btw. 3: i need some extra configuration since i got the 2 pcs on a network. i want to run the server on the old pc and the wow client on the new. since server and client on my windows 7 pc uses like 90% or beyond of processor and over 70% of ram. (got core 2 duo @ 2.66 ghz and 3.12 gbs of ram) so i would like to use old pc for server and new for client. after fix the apache error (mysql works ok apparently) any config i must tweak? or just run it? (i got internet only on my windows 7 ultimate. its shared trough network to the xp home edition). i hope some of you can give me some idea how to fix this. btw both operating systems are newly installed (windows 7 ultimate x64 over 1 month and xp home sp3 like 24 hours ago) and i tried different copies (from the same compressed file) of the ultimate pack and they give me the ame error on both os. maybe its a network service messing around? like share pirnters for microsoft windows?
