okay if you want to have like a start shirt or something when you make a new char then follow this guide:)
1.) go into your Database and then go into playercreateinfo_items
2.)look in there in the Data and you will see something called indexid and protoid,slotid and amount..(the index it are the class/race (where it says 1 in the indexid thats a class so maybe 1 are warrior then there are many 1's becuse thats all the stuff that a warrior start with!). and the protoid are the item it start with the slotid are where the item goes into and then the amount...well thats how many af them you have..
3.)now in the protoid you can change it to whatever Item-id you want. example 19019 wich are a sword.. put that in protoid but remember in the slotid, it have to be a slot wich are using the following item..like example i you have putted the sword in slotid 4 or whatever . then you have to make it so it goes in slotid for the item(example slotid 23 wich are in the bag) i dont know any other slotid's but well you can just test..but remember if you put it so you start with a sword in a slotid where there where made to be a helm then you are gonna look like a small box when you make a new char.. so well i hope i didnt make it to complicated but then you can ask me for further
questions and im sorry for the bad grammar..and all the other stuff...

This would actually have been ok guide if you broke it down rather then having just 2 paragraphs. Try using bullets in some cases. Or atleast... Line breaks (just hit enter =.=").
Thank you for taking your time to write this though.

Do you have the Class # ?
and so like if i wanted make a special item for people to start with (Ex-a blue custom made wep for each diff class) custom weps this can be done.
side note- this would only be good on Bliz like cuz of the xp rate.. IMO

Ok this is my rewritten version of this guide to help people better understand.
I will be using a warrior as the example.
Step 1: Start up your server if you havent already. Go into your database. I will be using Navicat as my database editor but you should be able to follow along with Hedi or whatever you use.
a)Enter your connection (in Navicat you just double click it)
b)Open your "ascent" table. Open up the table called "playercreateinfo_items.
c)Go to the column that says
Index ID: 1 Proto ID: 38 Slot ID: 3 Amount: 1
A) The index ID is the class (in this case a Warrior). The proto ID is the Armor. The slot ID is where the armor will be on the character. The amount is how many of that item the character will have.
Step 2: Now say, you wanted the warrior to start with a leather jerkin rather then a recruits shirt. In that table I mentioned above, go to the slot that says "protoID". Change the 38 to 1794. Now when You make a warrior he will be wearing a patched leather jerkin, regardless of his level.
a)There is one flaw to this. Unless your a gm and can change your level, dont take off the armor because the level requirements will kick in and you cannot reequip it until you meet the requirements.
Additional Information:
If you want to add items to different classes here is the list of classes.
CLASSES:
1= Warrior
2= Paladin
3= Hunter
4= Rogue
5= Priest
6= (There is no 6)
7= Shaman
8= Mage
9= Warlock
10= (There is no 10)
11= Druid
Now Im not sure how to figure out the slotIDs but there is a very easy way to figure them out.
In the table it says SlotID 3 for the recruits shirt. Just .additem (protoID) and then see what article of clothing the spawned item is and VOILA!
I hope I cleared things up here.

ok man this is the way it goes
if its not EXACTLY alike with the blizzard db then its not blizzlike
you can add gm stuff and items like that but cant make it available to average player
it defeats the purpose of blizzlike
