I thought I'd make this guide because I don't think there is a command that will look up a spell ID.
All that you have to do is go to Thottbot :http://thottbot.com/
Thottbot: World of Warcraft . There, you can search for whatever spell it is that you wish to learn and click on the result that you are looking for. After you've clicked on it, look up at the address bar and you should see something like this:
(I'm going to use fireball as an example) http://thottbot.com/s133. The 133 is the spell ID to that spell. Just login and type .learn (whatever the spell ID) and you should learn the spell you were looking for.
Have fun being a mage in stealth :)

thanks for sharing, a lot of people know this already... but that's irrelevant, because no matter what.. we've all got to remember there will always be noobs that need this kind of info.. =)

I prefer to use thottbot since wowhead doesnt include a lot of uncatorigized spells unlike thottbot.

WoWhead.com might be better to fiend you item, but thottbott got spels, objects and dispaly ID's and stuff. so i use wowhead ti fiend items. and thottbott to find object's and spell's. and you can allso fiend trainor spell's there so GLHF m8's.
