For some reason sometimes I question this. Is there really such thing as skills

for a video game? It could always just be people know the controls better

nothing else thats kinda how I see it but it seems like there also those who say

"they have ultra skills" by they use hacks on a game. And as for WoW about

leveling, I see it like they remember which quests will level them faster rather

than it be "skill" that helps them get to a certain level in a short amount of time

Whats your opinions about if theres really skills for video games or not?

Skills exist throughout video game's but the majority of it comes down to reaction times and quick thinking.

But thats the thing though, how could you have skills on something that isn't

even real? If you had skills of construction that would make sense but if your just a good reflexer just means you probably trained your reflexes.

I dont really think that 'skill' is the best word to describe it.

Have you ever seen someone suck at a video game? How are you saying that there isn't any skill involved. Here are the definitions of skills from dictionary.com
1. the ability, coming from one's knowledge, practice, aptitude, etc., to do something well: Carpentry was one of his many skills.
2. competent excellence in performance; expertness; dexterity: The dancers performed with skill.
3. a craft, trade, or job requiring manual dexterity or special training in which a person has competence and experience: the skill of cabinetmaking.
4. Obsolete. understanding; discernment.
5. Obsolete. reason; cause.
Knowing how to play wow well comes from one's knowledge and pratice therefore there is a level of skill involved. I think with everything in life you develop skills in everything you do depending on the amount of time you dedicate to it.

I have seen many people with "no skill" they always kicked me off MGS 3. But

"no skilled" player could be still learning the controls so it wouldn't make

sense to compare a person who knows the game better than a beginner

Yes, you have to have skill to play some video games. If you give your dad or mom or lets say girlfriend that never plays ps3 or whatever there going to suck.
Why do they suck?
Well they never play. Probably meaning that they have no skill.
It's very simple.
Lets take a nascar driver.
They have the skill to race and drive about 200mph side by side another car.
Now if you take someone who has never done it and place them in that car there going to suck right?
But after a few years of doing it over and over there going to build the skill to drive that car.
Skill is something that takes time and pratice.
Heres another example.
I wake board. I had no skill when I 1st started.
Now I can jump and spin around on my board.
So what Im trying to say is, yes it takes "Skill" to play video games.
Some people are skillful to where they are good at a game right away. Other people take time to gain skill. Some people just never build skill.
