I know how much how a pain it is to sit there and wait hours for your maps to extract and then after that have to go look for a working WOTLK account creation page... that's why I'm sharing this repack with these functions already included. :D You can find the account creation page at this link: Forum (http://shadowmoon.ucoz.org/forum/3-21-1) For the account creation page and configs scroll down to the bottom. Just extract that into wamp or your htdocs follow my guide for more help with the account creation page:

It wasn't exactly fun waiting all those hours for the maps to extract, or slowing down my internet connection for a couple hours to upload half a gig onto Megaupload. If your stuck on handshaking go into your database and clear any letters/numbers inside the column "SessionKey" then wait for it to get into the system.

Well there a few reasons I think why that could happen Lexx, first do you have vcredit86 and Net Frameworks 5.0 downloaded? If not then you need to download those. Also make sure you download the updated configs the link is at the bottom.

My arcemu world keeps shutting down after it loads up T.T and before all of that started happening it wouldnt let me get through it would just give me "logging in to gameserver" or what ever and then it would give me the realmlist then it kept doing that over and over and over...is there anyway you can please help me?

Everyone who is reading this and has this problem its because you need to make another realm in realms.config and the IP of that realm has to be your internal Ip. Follow this guide for more detailed: http://www.ac-web.org/forums/tutorials/59515-how-make-your-server-public-non-hamachi.html

And scroll down to the middle. This will prevent realm loopback.... Hope that helped a bunch of you... :D

That is a common bug,
you can try this though: learn duel spec then relog
if that doesnt work reset your talents and then relog.

you didn't reset the configs to "factory settings," it took hours to make sure it worked right
-DB problems
Your DB has 14 pre-loaded accounts which wont allow my server to run until AFTER its first fresh-run, i had to go in an delete all the accounts before it started to show signs of working
-MySQL issues
The mysql passwords and stuff were giving me some issues, although i'll take some blame for that because i'm kind of a tard with that area of expertise

Good repack, but you need to focus on final detailing when you think you're ready to upload.

On the other hand i may just be another dumb schmuck, but i wasn't the only one with problems. If i had to grade it.... B+

Im fairly new to this, i used to run servers for the old game Ultima Online, and the set up for this is different. What all exactly do i need in order to run this.. I have Johved's Repack which i have installed and works fine. However this repack does not come with a installer that i can see, yes im a newb and i do apologize for that. But we do all have to start somewhere right?

Ive downloaded the files from From different locations one from another site where Cos posted it said to install it, but i cant locate the installer. I try to start mysql from the repack but it keeps saying it cannot connect to mysql on port 1031 i think. Seems like all the config files are preset to just run on the server pc.. Setting up for public is no issue i know how to do that. But actually getting this repack to run i cant seem to grasp.

Does this thing come with an installer? If so where is it located?
Or do i need to get rid of any other repacks i may have before installing this one? Not sure if that would cause a conflict? Im really wanting a blizzlike and this one seems to have some extra goodies with it aswell. Really wanna try this one but cant get past the installation..

Nothing has been changed by me in the Repack Except for the noted
naturally created files maps and vmaps that are required.

If im missing something or whatever lol Please let me know, again im quite new to this and really need somekinda help getting this thing going.

Well, first mysql should be on port 3306 which should be forwarding in your port forwarding on your router.
2. I suggest you use a different repack, maybe if I am able to compile a good stable one I will post it, ( thats a fresh blizzlike repack)

You having said that "what installer am i talking about" tells me there isnt one . That is all i wanted to know. Umm im not sure why its trying to connect to a different port than its supposed to. Both files ive downloaded the one you have here and the on Cos has on another site do the same thing the mysql is trying to open from another port 1031.

Im just going to remove this repack. Not sure whats going on or if its conflicting with my other repack. The origional repack of this one i had gotten had an uninstall.exe where the one i have here from this link does not. It could be just my ignorance to the set up aswell.

Mysql installer closes down it cannot connect though. Im assuming this is my problem. No clue why its trying to connect to a port other than the one its supposed to. I have not tinkered with it whatsoever . Conflicts maybe, I may try and uninstall my other one and then reinstall this one.

Im sure if i could get past the mysql set up then it would all work fine though.

Also note, port forwarding is fine. It was preconfigured, before i installed this repack, so that others could connect to the server which has been established. Not sure why port forwarding would cause conflict with the mysql installation on the server pc? The repack i had funserver works perfectly fine without any hitches on getting it running only took 1 try for me using tutorials. Set up was pretty graceful. Ill stick the one i got for now. Really want a good blizzlike though. Funserver is ok but if you like the origional playstyle and quests you played on blizz its not so great. Even though i understand that blizzlike isnt going to be 100% blizz but as close as you can get is just as good.

When I try using this, and I come at starting world.exe It loads fine etc, but when it's all loaded, then it shutdowns itself? Pretty strange. Would like a solution for this. :)

This is to people who are have Talent Point problems (im not sure if this will work)
but on my old server if you set your level to 300 (or whatever) you wont gain them you have to do .gain level (or what ever the comand is that makes you go up 1 level) make a macro for it and hit it 300 (or however many levels you want) and it may work

could be .level up
