I have been trying to get Apache 2 to start but It won't. Please help

no i checked Services and Apaches wasn't started

Uninstall all Apache clients you have?

well i do Apache_installservices it says ' net ' is not a correct command line. would tht be the problem? cuz ive been having a problem with cmd. and when i open it with Run... everything i try it says it is not a correct command line. I will post screenshot

You don't need Apache. Rev3.5 doesn't need AppServ.. It runs on it's own.

All you have to do is just click on the website application, you don't need Apache or anything installed.

thats the problem tho when i click website it says:
Starting Apache . . .
then
Apache could not start

i opened cmd and put in netstat and nothing tht came up is using port 80

DMZ = De Militrized Zone,
Did the service repair batch* work? If not when u ran it, what did it say?
*not at a pc with it, so cant check exact name

Dark! i had this exact same problem it turns out i had 2 apaches on my comp had to uninstall the other one. Now i jst gotta talk to Jargs and my server should be online

you just have 2 Apacches restart you computer, when u come back go to Start > Settings > Controll Panel > Add Remove Programs > remove app server. Easy as pie :D

Restart PC after Uninstall:
If still no go:
Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services and stop all instances of Apache
If Still no go,
FORMAT c: -> Install Windows 95 -> Play Worms

fixed it i had skpye open which was blocking one of the ports

hmm worms...is looking oreety good rite now the way things are... :(
any how i still cant get my webup..firewalls are down,ports are open..but still no go on the public side of it..i can view it,function on it PERFECTLY
any how is there a way/possibility to have some1 else host jus tthe web sidE?
or does the server HAVE to be in the same comp as website?
