No leaving Silvermoon area rev 3.5?

I tried playing a blood elf last few days and have come across a problem. The Orb of translocation(sp?) in Silvermoon doesn't work. It just shows a panaramic view of nothing but clouds. I'm lead to believe this is how to travel. I have tried going south through the portal, this is bugged and drops you into nowhere and you just fall.

The Gryphon master cannot take me anywhere because there is nowhere I can get to.

Can anyone else confirm this problem for me please so I can rule out a corrupt dbase.

Yea, The orb doesnt work... I noticed that one too, Thats why there are portals in Silvermoon City.

Ah didn't realise there were portals, must keep an eye out for them cheers.

Where are these portals?

i faced this problem before, just get confused and then abandoned this quest.what is wrong with it?

Sounds like it has the wrong cords in the database and it is droping u under the map.
