View Full Version : Tutorial: Uninstancing Places such as Zul'Aman

I bet many of you have tried porting to places such as black temple,tempest keep,zul'aman,etc and it brings you outside the instance saying "You tried to join an invalid instance(## on map ###)? Follow the guide below to uninstance your desired location.

1. Find the id of the instance you are trying to port to.

2. Open your database up and open the table "WorldMap_Info".

3. Notice The columns "repopx, repopy,repopz,repopentry". Delete the coords inside of those columns for the instance you want.

4. Then notice the column "type", set that to 0 as well. Save the changes you have made and restart your server.

This is my first guide so please don't flame at me =).
If you have any problems or you dont know what your doing post here. :eek:

There're no mobs in Zul'Aman.

There will be if you have a version with the 2.3 patch applied

Yea, in retail maybe. Not in p.servers, since even Ascent doesn't fully support it yet.

Ya well i sorta figured this out a long time ago...but i didn't think the patch was coming out until next week (i was wrong =O). But you can still uninstance other instances...not just this one... and about the mobs, i made my own custom instance in there with amani trolls etc...


Like so you don't have to get a raid grp to enter black temple you could just change it so you can recall port inside with no problems...

Is it possible to reverse this? to make a map or an area into an instance? Let's say Maztheril, would i be able to make it so people not in group don't collide?
Becouse I think Maztheril is a cool place for a short instance, but if i made it with a boss, horde and ally would ruin it for eachother
