Hello.

I just had to post this.

Soon our ISPs will offer internet access like cable-tv and only give us access to a few sites!!!

This would mean the end for AC Web, and alot more!

Spread the word and let's stop the madness!!!

Campaign-Save amendment 138 and Internet Freedom from Council of EU - La Quadrature du Net (http://www.laquadrature.net/wiki/Campaign-Save_amendment_138_and_Internet_Freedom_from_Counc il_of_EU)

EDIT: I need to explain this better :P 138 is a law (?) within EU. It gives us access to the whole internet. Now if they would remove it, which they are gonna discuss about and shit, internet will be like cable TV. Only access to a few sites...
I hope this wasn't too blurry... I don't know too much about it :)

EDIT 2: The telecompackage is a set of monstrous laws regulating the internet. Amandment 138 is something good, securing fundamental rights. And if 138 would be excluded, the internet would be pretty much like cable TV. (source: Lägg till 138:an i telekompaketet, annars... (http://telekompaketet.se/) )

So this *138* Thing enables us to engage in any Internet site out there but if its removed, Then we will all be limited to what we can go on like Cable-TV? Or is it the other way Around. 138 limits us and without it we dont have limits.

=p I Did a quick search on the EU Site, because if they were gonna do anything they would just ban Certain sites, (TPB For example).

Ohh, well that's good. :)

I don't like the censoring of the internet, but that's atleast better than making it like cable tv. :)

This is ridiculous. We shouldn't be controlled by some.. internet regime! I say this law is absolutely.. bull crap! Putting restrictions on internet websites will lose business to quite a bit of companies.

For one this is all crap in my opinion... It's impossible to put restrictions on your internet viewing. If people would to charge money per site view is a monopoly. Seems more like a parental control than anything else... unless i just dont understand this entirely
