House system for ArcEmu

[ArcaneFusion]

This is a functional house system compiled for arcemu 2330+ it has been tested and shown to work with 2330 and 2336 i did not test it with any other rev's so it may not work with any other rev. of ARCEMU core


simple 3 part process
1 copy a dll to you're script_bin
2 execute sql on logon db
3 execute sql on world db

total install time - aprox. 3 min

the addon that puts the elite emblem on my pic is 1337player and can be found on wow matrix or cursre or you can google it


- note - yes i know this was on mmowned posted my Link_s but i made some mods to the scripting to fix the port in location so you didn't fall trough the floor + recompiled it to work with newer rev. of arcemu ( the orig. was ment for 1700)

ok to the person that asked if i did this - did you read the bottom of the post where i said i found this on mmowned and just fixed it up and repaired the port locarions

and yes there are full credit to the guy included in the credit.txt file included with it

ah it says in the post that it was tested on 2336 and works and i used 2 different compiles of 2330 and 2336 arcemu that is why i said what compiles i had tested it on and it had worked - no where did i say it would work on anything else because i didn't test it on any other cores - ok sorry i mistyped in the add 2300 it was 2330 - my bad but still it'll work on arcemu cores as it says (provided there is no major mods to the core but the ppl downloading and trying to make stuff work don't compile there own core 99% of the time so all that is hapening is ppl not reading the readme file and trying to use something on a different core then it was cleared for... plain and simple

the first line of the post says arcemu and a set of cores i tested it on - it's like any sql file if you are using a different rev. it may not work - anyone should know that - and the mismatched just says that the core that is being ran is to old - i'm sure it's not to new after all i compiled it to work on 2336 this morning - and tested it on my server at 2330 - so ..... next complaint and flame please

The original revision was 1700, you shouldn't write things you don't know anything about, I bet you've removed the top comment also in the code, that tells that I done this totally solo.

I like that you've fixed error in the code. When I tested this it wasn't any error. It was long time ago though. You should've atleast asked me before releaseing, or did you think that I didn't care?

there is a full txt doc named credits when it is downloaded and when reading the post when i put it togther it didn't say 1700 - so it has been updated a ways - i didn't remove any part of the code all i did was modify the xyz chrods b/c with 2336 you fall using the chords provided

as for the error like you said it was done for 1700 arcemu has made alot of changes

includeing the creature_proto format that had to be rewrote for this

personally if you had a problem you could have pm'd me and i would have removed it or we could have talked about it - but link_s if you want to release this on ac-web i will remove this post and let you have at it - no problems

but i will modify the original post to put credit in the post as well as leaving credits in the file when you download

++++ if you read the post the only thing i said i did was modify it to work with 2336/7 - no where did i say i was involved with making it - and obviously i didn't intend it to sould like that b/c i put a file in giving full credit for creation to link_s in the download + i didn't post the source code for it - so that no one could copy it off here and take credit for makeing it - that way i could avoid that mess..

the only reason i put it here is b/c it was not here yet and i felt a new updated copy should be made avalable on the #1 private emu site in the world so - i guess i will put it like this

link_s (now knowing he has an account on ac-web) should have posted this himself updated for new rev. but obviously he didn't get to it - i did - big deal - but i will say this - do not +rep me on this scroll up a little from this post and fink link_s and post rep to him there b/c he is the one that created this code...

hay doublehex you do know that there are 1000's of releases everyday on ac-web+mmowned+arcemu.org everyday that is not under a GPL and that no one messes with that except for ppl that have no life and don't know what they are doing

lol, im just stating the facts, and if no one messes with that except for ppl that have no life and don't know what they are doing is directed towards me then i can counter that with
1) i have a life, i just got back from playing pickup football with friends
2) ive been in emulation for a long time, i know everything there is to know, i know LUA, C++ (about year and a half experience with core, scripts, ect), SQL, and more.

i got the software to put gpl's i don't want or need to do it

oh wow i'm getting told to be quiet by someone :) lol jk - long day and been getting bitched at by everyone for everything for 2 days now - i got bitched out by my assistant admin for updateing the core on my server with out telling him - i was like STFU and get the F off my server - so sorry i have been picking a few extra fights for no reason and i am sorry - it was wrong of me -

im not trying to force you to release it, im just making you aware when you do this kind of stuff, read the GPL first, because if the system is active on any public server, the source must be released

ok thanks for the heads up - i can't really feel right putting this under a GPL because i'm not the creator of the code - but i will look into the GPL a little better - i deal with alot of software at anytime install creators vbc++ vbc# vbs i have 3 different kinds of sql dbs on my system and go trough 20+ SVN downloads a day from RDB and Arcemu so i don't spend alot of time reading into some stuff - but my private server gets updated core/db once aday when i bring it down for maint. - - but anyways - thankyou for the tip

i know that anything i release - created by me or someone else will end up on a private server but i am not allowed to say that - so all my releases are for "development only" :) i cannot control what someone else does as far as releasing a project that was in development :)
