if u are available i am in some seriouse need of help man :( lol i tried making the server and it worked! but now, idk how to do anything to it. like how to bring the xp up alitle bit like other servers u know. higher the drop rates a little bit name it my own. and name the realms cause theres 2 and i wanna make an instant level 70 and a x50 xp rate and x70 drop rate :) but i need some help plz! and thank u so much!

I have a serious problem when it comes to MySQL.. When i try to logon:
root
ascent
This message comes up: 1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

I can connect with root as password aswell ( Though im a MySQL noob ) so please explain to me what im doing wrong and how i can fix it ;-) Good guide though!

Great guide. Trying it now, gonna eventually try to make the server public and get it on xtremetop100.com, but that will take a lot of time.
I have to upgrade my computer and tweak the server some first..

Dude you say "one is GB and one is US. If you live in Europe then
extract the GB one, if you live in the US, then the US one."
But that isnt true.. its when you use WoW EnGB use the GB one when you use enUS use the US one...

Its same when you download a WoW patch.

My mate gets stuck "Logging into Game server" When he trys to connect he see's the realms evverything he sees local realm and the other realm tho :S

Im using ultimate pack 7.4 and i got my maps and stuff in the ascent folder my control panel dont work so i have to do manually but it all seems to work till i logon with user:admin pass:admin and it shows suggest realm when i click that no realms pop up please help me think you

I followed your guide step by step even did it twice but i always end up with cannot connect to realmlist like going from username and password to realmlist wont let me or i get one of my friends to try it and they say they get stuck on connecting right after they type their username and password. Would this mean my ports are wrong? i duno wut u guys need to see but ask and ill post it.

Whenever i try to open the Ad file when trying to get the maps and stuff it only comes up for a few seconds then dissapears. whats wrong?

I'll tell you I'm a computer tech and I code a little on the side so I'm not dumb in this but I'm sure as heck not a genius so I need some help. I followed your manual, though hard to read in notepad was a very much appreciated manual, to the letter but when I try to connect after putting in my username and password it just says "Handshaking". I even changed the username and password for the admin login in the database but still unable to connect. Any advice on this? I was wondering if it had anything to do with the new 2.4 patch I installed but it seems others are having this issue so I doubt it. I'm lost and figured I'd ask the master who created this program, which is truly awesome work my man.

It depends, do you have multiple Hard Drives?

because with a stock table rig, they come with only 1, making D: into the CD/DVD/CDRW/DVDRW or whatever type of drive you got.

Didnt see that, but heres the thing, I have a Super Rig that I built from scratch that I HAD my WoW server running on, seeing as that rig was used for serious gaming, I had over 900 gigs orth of things sitting in there, and my WoW server, for safety reasons, was sitting in my 5th Hard Drive, but heres the thing, The AC Web Ultimate Repack must be in the same drive as the WoW Directory for it to work on diffrent Hard Drives.

And to the person 2 posts above me... No, check which version of the repack you have, the current one is AC Web Ultimate Repack 7.7

Any older version might not work.
