Its like if there is an estate of housing - All houses are white.
One person paints their house blue, then his neighbour will paint his house blue, and so on.
The point is, People (Humans), are afraid of being different, and thus follow anything that is a change.

well, not really sure if this is relavent or not but, we live in america. we dont have laws ruling you must be jewish or live in a white house. people die so we can have freedom. so basically, everyone who is a conformist is saying they dont appreciate what the men and women of the united states military have done for them.
now i dont wanna sound like a non-conformist but, conformity sucks!

The image burns.
And yes it is also true.
I guess a good example is today's youth. You can somewhat relate it to peer pressure - If one member of a group smokes, another will. Same thing goes for taking drugs.
It's a loop, imo.

Your first mistake was the title... the lowercase "i" makes it seem like it will be uninteresting and unintelligent. Also, your title doesn't describe the topic. Not flaming, just pointing out... Anyway, I agree, to an extent. Since there are an almost infinite amount of variables that can prove and disprove that statement, such as the way each and every human was raised, which might have been to always be different, which caused them to not imitate others and vice versa. Also, emotions (i FEEL this is true)hold no place in an Intellectual Discussion since they hold no logical purpose in one.

Oh kudos Xtavie. Have you finished your unimaginably horrendous speech?
(Just kidding, love ya.)
Back on topic. This child forum is called Intellectual Discussion correct? Well, unless hardly any of you can read, it takes intellect to use correct spelling and grammar. Seemingly, hardly any of you do. Now, I'm pointing this out because of this topic name, "i feel this is true." This gives no information what-so-ever about the post within the thread. Now, I am not flaming, merely pointing out flaws in this thread. Now, I beg to differ about this post. Most of the people in America are impressionable, they do things because they feel they have to, or need to. Not always to fit in, which, correct me if I'm wrong, is what most of you are implying. If I painted my house orange, would others paint their houses this ridiculous color? Well, I think not.

Before you go off and attempt to create intellectual statements such as the one above, make sure you hit the space bar now and then. This little mistake happens very often, yes, I know. Looks like you missed the space bar between "(i FEEL this is true)" and, "hold". You failed to hit the space bar there and it shows that not only you failed at attempting to create an intellectual statement, such as the one above, but it shows that you don't use grammar and punctuation often as well. Sorry, try again.
Don't take this as a flame, I'm just pointing it out there, friend. Don't correct other people.

Yes, because a missing space totally strips all meaning what-so-ever from my previous statement... I'm human, we all make mistakes, however, "i feel this is true" is a grammatical mistake, more often than not, made by 11 year olds... No offense to oandy :P

I never said you weren't human. Of course we all make mistakes. You made a statement that was totally out-the-subject and therefore, shows that you are an illiterate person who attempts to correct people for their grammatical mistakes. Now, I want you, as a human being, to attempt to correct yourself for your own grammatical mistakes. After you do so, you can then come back, and correct people for the errors they make. Other than that, stay on the topic and tag along with others. Thanks.

Uhm, thank you... I think... I'm a horrible judge of sarcasm. Nonetheless, it's a very interesting topic, but the way you present it could be a tad bit btter, is all I'm saying :D

xtavie needs a hug in real-life? :)
To be honest though, I know exactly how you feel! I get so frustrated and annoyed when I'm trying to talk with somebody but all I can think about is how much better than them I am. It's so distracting when everyone in the room is the absolute opposite of awesome whereas you -in the center of the room- are the definition of awesome.
Hmm.

Exactly as one person said, people are to afraid to be different. They don't want to be the odd one out, they think people will think they weird/stupid/reject them. I and a few of my friends on the other hand, love being different. Being different is what makes you you. If everyone was the same think of how boring it would be. There would be an end to mankind for example, cause everyone would be the same sex, unless we learn mitosis or some kind of way to produce life by our self. I love being different. It is what has got me my friends and my girlfriend, so I recommend everyone to be different to an extent.
