I think he brought a lot of hope to the country.
One man can't fix the economy, There is just too much of a national debt, but if he can jump start it, We should slowly climb back.

My school was buzzing about him, everyone is getting their spirits up.
Just because of that, I'd say he was worth it.

And what if he makes an ever bigger screwup of things? You people have to remember he has very limited experience in politics.

So were some other presidents.
They turned out fine.

There are some people out there with a gift for stuff. Obama climbed his way to the top, he probably deserved it.

Like my Freind and wow. He just started, and is already pawning twinks in the BGs, as a low level in greens.
(Hunter of course =P)

That's another thing I fear... He's being proclaimed as a good person as a world leader... *cough Revelations 13: 13+14 cough* Might have a cold...

01-24-2009, 02:11 AM
lol. Revelations 13:13-14. Yes.... Honestly I don't know what to think of Obama, I am an Australian and I haven't paid much attention to him, or whoever the other candidate was. I'm pretty sure if he doesn't get killed by the end of this year, he will be very close to have been killed.

He is a step up from Bush. He has closed Guantanamo. But he claims to be a Christian, that highly agrees with abortion. :( not good.
Yes, he doesn't have much/any experience. But no-one can really have the experience of being a president before becoming one.

Devilcry, I agree, only time will tell. I haven't voted on the poll because I don't know much about the matter.

I have heard so many people say that he is now the most powerful man in the world, and I always prove that person wrong. There is no most powerful man in the world. He has an extremely high chance of being killed soon.
Other nations' leaders are more powerful than he, like china for example, or japan....

So, yea, I can't say.

I don't think that he was the right choice. He promised to fix the economy, which is virtually impossible until he can pay off $11 trillion. I don't think he would ever be able to do that even if he goes a second term (I hope he doesn't...).

EDIT: Just remembered something... We don't even know if he is a legal citizen of our country. It was brought to the Supreme Court, and his attorney refused to show the judge Obama's birth certificate.

he claims to be a Christian, that highly agrees with abortion. :( not good.

I don't think he is a Christian. In history class, my teacher said that he used to be one of the branches of Christianity, but he left it. Also, I believe that abortion is murder, as most Christians do. If he was a Christian, he would most likely be a major anti-abortion guy, because murder is against one of the Ten Commandments.

i think he was the perfect choice. change is exactly what the country needs. its true that he doesn't have that much experience in politics but i truly believe that political experience would only have corrupted him like many of our politicians. he's a fresh change for this country and i know that he might not fix the economy, its royally skewed with or without his effort but he can bring it back, at least a bit. stocks got better a least a bit the day after he was inaugurated. And also, its been only a couple of days, but he's already closing down Guantanamo Bay and granting abortion clinics more funding. obviously this wouldn't be alright with republicans but i think we're moving in the right direction. at least out president knows how to use youtube, and for that i am thankful.

He can't really change this country much. He has the ability to write and propose bills, but he still doesn't have very much "power." Every bill that he writes/proposes has to go through Congress.

that highly agrees with abortion. not good.

Say that when your girlfriend gets pregnant. It's a drama when it's about other people, but it's a nightmare when it's your own story. =P

He can't really change this country much.

With that attitude, you are absolutely correct. It's one thing to write bills, and such, but he brings new things to the field. There is nothing wrong with trusting him for his first term. If it goes bad, so what? it's already nearly rock bottom, And he certainly wont make it worse. ;)

Besides, at least he is informed and knows when Russia is, and doesn't scam his country for free trips on airplanes.

If he dies, he has Biden, and that guy has experience.

Which is controlled by Democrats

Actually, he is hiring republicans into the office as well. The ones that are not after putting as much green in their pockets anyhow. Even I, a democrat, can appreciate who he brings into office with him. Although I don't agree with everything they offer, at least I know they have logical reasons behind their offers that don't revolve around their wallet.

he has such little experience in the field of politics.

This is why i think he will do well.

Politions are almost al corrupt and power hungry. The longer you are exposed to that enviroment, the more it effects you personaly. Hopefully, his somewhat limited exposure, will insure he does whats right for the country, and not what is right for his retirement... or his dad...

Again people speculate without any knowledge on the subject. How can you evaluate a person without knowing anything about them? All you end up doing is make statements based on bias and prejudice.

Whether he can fix what is wrong I do not know. Its going to take a miracle, and I don't know of many humans capable of doing miracles.

He is a great choise.
I know some people are like "Wtf hes a black president!"
Who cares? He will do alot of great things for the USA, i live in Holland but i know this i can feel it.
Hes a normal president who doesnt act like a star, just normally drops his daughters of at school, i had something like: "Woah hes a really good man"
More people should be like him and dont judge at the collor of someone.
But it was an ironic moment when he entered the White house that was build by slave (From the News)

But i say: Owyeah he will be an epic president, Go Obama :D

He may not have had the experience but his record backs him up. When he was in the congress he voted for and against most issues I agreed with on. Of course there are other issues you scratch your head on. Like he voted for the war in Iraq. But if you realize our government and the United Nations were lied to by Bush/Cheney and the reluctant Colin Powel. Now that the Bush is burning away and Dick is going limp we have a chance to get back to some normalness. It is going to take some time and there will be ups and downs but America and the world will be in a better place with Obama and his crew than what anyone else could have provided.

As a side note I am a 37 year, white male, married to a disabled Multiple Sclerosis individual and a 6 year old daughter. I have lost my job due to the economic crunch, so I am freelancing to barely pay the bills, taking care of my wife and child. So this administration means a lot to me to hopefully get us back on track for good health care, stimulate jobs, and work to improve education among things. Thanks for reading.

Im saying no for the absolute reason that he is black. But beside that point, he will lead us into a time of "greater chances" as said, but he is leading to believe that everyone must work, that means no more social security? Bull Shit.
===========
Beyond the small racism and that retardation moment, it was later found that he spent over 1 million $$$ for his.. party?? yea.. that's saving us from this economic tragedy.

I honestly say no, mainly because of the fact that he has such little experience in the field of politics.

how better to gain experience than being thrown into the heart of it...

i can honestly say that yes i do think Obama was the right choice, and to be totally fair with the kind of economic crisis this world is in at the moment, nobody could make it worse, and no matter who we try to blame it's not the leader's fault... Yes the Polar ice-caps have started to freeze over again and global warming is exposed for the theory that it really and only was...

But at this rate with the banks going into a state of crisis the people will have to use what little money they have left to just get them started again. because without banks there are no paychecks, no loans, no money PERIOD. Every dime, penny, cent, Yen, whatever currency you use at some point will have been through a bank, and if it hadn't then you wouldn't have it... It's all well and good people saying that it would be a simpler time if we didn't rely on this and that.. But hey we do.. we're humans and we adapt, and we adapted to that way of life, without some kind of economic system this world will be plunged back into the stone age... Digital is right.. one man can't save the economy.. not even Superman for crying out loud...

So lets think about it.. maybe this president wasn't such a bad choice afterall... and lets all face it, nobody could make it any worse than it already is for goodness sake...

Mr T
01-25-2009, 05:32 PM

Drakkus if you can do anything, do something with this idiot.. I've read all the posts on this topic and he fails by far... this is the intellectual discussion so it maybe it wouldn't hurt to read a dictionary and expand on your vocabulary and spelling skills...
He's making me frustrated. =.=

My opinion:
I've been wanting someone to shut down Guantanamo and so have many others, he stepped right in and did that and he's been in term for about a week. He's making progress so I can definitely picture a change(positive change) coming through, and like you guys said better to have little experience and not be as corrupt as the dipshits that we've been having to dealing with since the constitution was created. However, I totally don't believe he was in the right spending $1m on his inauguration, he's going to get a lot of negative feedback from that, as he already is.

Besides, it's happened, you can whine, pout, cheer, eat some cheese, or make a tin foil hat, nothing will change the fact that it's happened. Might as well have a positive outlook and hope for the best.

If he dosn't do well his first term, I can understand any QQ about him, but until he proves who he is, Opinions are only based on very little acctual evidence and data. I don't even trust my own opinions about barak obama right now, but I can still hope.

I think Obama is the best choice for our current situation. We are facing inflation and economic failure. People are saying and betting that Obama will have the shortest term in office because Osama Bin Laden has resurfaced to this world once again claiming and threatening Obama. The authenticity of the tape is clearly learning towards that the tape is valid. Osama Bin Laden has been though to have been dead for seven months, until this tape appeared.

"Now America is begging the world for money," bin Laden says, "and the USA will not be as powerful as it used to be."

I believe that Obama will stay strong with an iron fist, and a golden heart. Osama bin Laden is nothing more than a man that strayed on the wrong path.

Obama is the man!
