I'm updating Zyanga Bliilike website to work with WotLK 3.0.9 MANGOS core i wanted to get everybody's opinion
It is still the same as Zyanga's but it is updated for the 3.0.9 core and has the WotLK theme. Would people like this or has the Blizz-like websites gone away?

Install notes:
1> Extract to your www folder or htdocs folder
2> Type 127.0.0.1 in your web browser
Note:
The first setup password username
username: webow
password: webow
3> Follow onscreen instructions to install.
4> Use your administrator account in mangos to log in.
5> Edit your site to what you like.
Things to do:

Fix commands
Fix ticket system
Fix annoying you are not logged in nag after new account creation.

Sadly though when arcemu gets better it will rise up... Mangos isn't very *instant noob friendly as the other ones or don't look as good which turns alot of people away :/ ... poor Mangos...

when i started i used a repack then i started building my own... then ascent disappeared for a while then arceamu came then i saw mangos hated it (still do a little) but i like my deathknight and I've gotten used to mangos so i live with it lol. i hope arcemu gets better I'm Still holding there repository

ArcEmu is getting much better and does updates Much faster but mangos just has more time to do it all and probably has a group of highly skilled peeps in the group but it is WAY unorganized and thus will cause issues .. I hate it ever since i saw there code..

I don't understand how many people are getting errors. I have done this twice to two machines one is Windows Server 2000, The other is Windows XP.
I did not think it would be that difficult to just read and finish the installation then tweak it.

The best i can tell you is to redo the website again select delete tables and create new ones at the install screen :( your update to XAMPP i liked it better the WAMP.

With the new SVN when I try to connect to my website it says cannot connect to koshimba.game-host.org (or some weird website name). How do I change it back to mine? Also I should be using logon database right? Because when I log into administrator on the website I'm getting errors saying I'm missing tables, is there an SQL or something I need to run?

I have an old page kit from you... and the old one works. Please tell me step by step a fresh install howto.... what should i do with other files ...WoW_WebSite_v1.0.0.rar , htdocs1.rar and Private.rar ??? , overwrite the old files from my website?

Check your PHP.ini file you miss-typed something in the configuration.

Here is the windows default with everything working use this as a sample. (http://blizzlikewebsitemangos.googlecode.com/files/php.ini)
Back up your old files first then clean out your htdocs/wwwroot folder edit your php.ini files to be similar to the sample i have provided. The the Error 500 Internal error is because you did not configure your php.ini files correctly. Website installs as normal but select use existing tables.

I am new to all this but think that this website is AMAZING, but my knowledge on php isn't great, so could somebody please help to convert this to be compatible with ArcEmu.

This website has everything you could ever need to manage your server and the whole Blizzlike look and feel is part of the attraction....

(I say this because, when I downloaded your site a while back, it loaded fine and all the config files were there. The new revision of svn does not have all the config files, along with the language files. When I try to load the new revision, without overwriting the first initial revision, I get an error due to not being able to load the english language. I have tried adding the languages from the old revision, but there seems to be more missing then just the config files and language packs)

and thats where I got his website from with all the configs etc

It is the trunk revision 1256 that is causing the problem. Looking at his revisioning, he started out with "trunk" up to about revision 1000. from there the "trunk" folder was renamed, or deleted, to "Trunk". When I download the newest revision, I get the language error. I am in the process of hopping through the revs from rev 100 to 1000 and then incremint to the 1256 rev and see if that fixes the problem. You should check to see if you have the languages in the language folder and the config.db.php (-or something like that)

You downloaded the newest rev and it worked right away? I thought it could be cookies that the other older rev left for languages in the browser, but when I deleted them, I still got the error and no install screen.

He seemed to have alot more content in the earlier revs also.

Ah right I see....You see the website I have got then must be the latest revision your on about....I have just checked the files though and I do have the languages in the language folder, which inside them also has the installer in the appropriate language....I have also got the config files, but not the config.db.php file though, as far as I was aware, that file was automatically created and stored on successful installation of the website as it stores your SQL database details etc....

The newest rev didn't work 100% right away though, some parts did and some didn't, hence why I have asked someone to please help in converting it to Arcemu as that is the core I am using. The arcemu database structure is different from the one the website is setup to use.

I have just re-downloaded Computerwiz's latest revision but it still missing some stuff as I am getting a webpage which has no pictures being displayed. There is lots of images missing and the templates are not included either. Theose folders are empty....

I do have, however, a full copy of the website with all content, templates, languages etc which I am now in the process of uploading to this topic, but its uploading a little slow coz of restrictions on my ISP, but will be here real soon, so hope you can help convert it please FBI and Computerwiz

NOTICE if you are getting this error:

Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource

you need to execute the realmd.sql file into your database then try again. the website looks for those tables and if they are not there they return that error.

If you are a developer of that project you have been given instructions on what to do with it. Webow3.x.x-2009-5-17.rar is the file you are supposed to download marked as featured and follow the instructions on the project home page.

The same error ...even with your php.ini. I dont understand why the old "web page kit" work and this ( the new one) dont :(

What version is your MySQL. They are both the same one just has a lot more added on to it
1. Backup your MySQL Database and your old website.
2. Remove XAMPP/ Wamp.
3. Reinstall XAMPP/Wamp.
4. Extract New Archive to htdocs/wwwroot.
5. Restore your Database to MySQL.
6. Change Appropriate Settings for your PHP Version. (Are you using PHP4 or PHP5)
7. Install Website.

Apache/2.2.6 (Win32) DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.6 OpenSSL/0.9.8e mod_autoindex_color PHP/5.2.4 they are not from XAMPP, all PHP, Apache, MySql is from a "repack" and work fine with other web sites ans scripts. I will follow your guide and try to use XAMPP.........

Download XAMPP
Install XAMPP
Extract the rar Archive to the htdocs Directory
Start Apache and MySQL if you have not done so already
Open your favorite browser
In the Address bar type 127.0.0.1
Follow the On-screen Instructions
If prompted about the .htaccess file but you see a button below it you may ignore it.
Log in with your Owner User name and Password (You set this in install page)
On the right there is a quick links section click administrator
Follow the Menus to change the settings to what you want
Your done :D

For some reason I cannot select any account upgrades, TBC/WOTLK. When I log in to my server I cannot choose draenei/nelf :S prolly wont be able to make a DK either.. any idea's?

Oh, I can select the upgrades, but they dont show up in account management

cant get realmd.sql to run correctly, errors alot! - Fixed SOME sql errors, cant seem to fix all. Downloaded the official first from googlecode.

EXCELLENT site, I love it. Just 2 issues with it though, I hope you can help me out:

Compziw: If I remove the dot from htaccess I get a screen full of errors. If I put the dot infront of the htaccess I get an internal server error.
So far most of the sites has worked, but this one won't work.

I'm using Wamp on a Server 2003. Any idea?
