you can run em both vmaps simply removes some minor buggs like spells that can be cast trough walls or charge mobs comin out of walls

it is best to load the both of them it will certainly help you

there are 75017054803854080247763 threads on how to make it public in the tutorials section. login with admin//mangos123 i think. if it's wrong then just open up mangosd.exe with the mysql.bat and realmd.bat and type in the mangosd.exe

Hey hackah could you please explain to me why people say Mangos isn't all that great? I've only used ArcEmu and I'm interested in Mangos. If you could explain that would be great (:

well people who say mangos isnt all that great is all an opinion. they choose to use arcemu/ascent and i chose to use mangos. i respect that they use arcemu, for many reasons, there are WAY more resources for mangos such as register pages, scripts, etc. arcemu also is probably way more stable than mangos, as arcemu develops their core in more detail.

the reason why i chose mangos over arcemu is because mangos is always up to date with the newest retail version. although there arent as many resources for mangos. in my opinion, the commands for mangos are more practical except the .gobject commands. even though mangos is not as stable as people say, i don't find any crashes in it. and also some people just hate mangos cuz it sounds like a fruit. :)

Few suggested fixes:
-Restart computer and try again.
-Make sure you have 3.5 .net framework and not any older versions.
-Completely delete all the server files and reinstall and try again.
-Quit and give up.
-Use another repack.
-Commit suicide.
-Masturbate and try again.

MaNGOS don't don't have a separate script folder for the server. It is implemented into the core. So all my custom scripts wont be shown. Unless you have my compiles.v4 being released toiday

lmfao. when you install the repack with the installer. leave everything as default. the server folders -Server, Tools, README, and MaNGOSv4.0 should all be in MaNGOS Repack in C:\ i have tested this repack with a my vista, my xp, my mac, and my linux and it is compatible and just as capable as every OS

yeah when you load mangos.exe it will show many errors. these are database problems. they arent threatening or anything. but there are like ALOT less errors than previous versions of these repacks. trust me. this is the best mangos repack that is public you can find. no joke.

well in v5, the really common bugs. such as quests. i'd also be fixing stats on items, because some items don't show stats and don't have stats. i'd also just be updating rev.

in v6 i'll be fixing all those database problems when you start your mangosd.exe. ill be doing this by adding, fixing, deleting, updating the database until the WHOLE database is fixed. i will also be updating rev.

im not quite sure in further versions of my repacks. but as far as i know, v8 will be last of my mangos repacks, until more bugs, errors will be found. there will be more than just v8 of my mangos repack, but all i will be doing is updating rev, nothing else.

so lets hope by v8 i have most, if not, all, bugs fixed

hi, everibody, Hackha, when you try to fix the feed pet spell in hunters, the pet not eat any food...
and some important bug , when you learn Mining, Skining or Hrbalism professions the trainer teach you range 1 to 6 a passive spell and this is a bugg very bad.... my character whith level 10 have 150% critical strike because i learn aprentice Skinning , do you underestend??? if you underestend spanish i speak very well....

other bugg the totems works but not doing nothing, any spells...

Also i try to make a quest in Shattrath "Learn to Fly"...in this quest i must talk to Olrokk in Shadowmoon Valey..but i cant talk ...i try to buy a mount but i need to learn Riding up to 150 but i cant.....

Yes, I've got both expansions installed and playing just fine on live. DK creation is greyed out and trying to go Outland & Northrend tells me I need to install it. Launching from the same folder as I launch to play on live.

yo. i never said the update was goign to fix the training. the update only fixed the mangosscript.dll and thats it. read the changelog before posting thanks. ill fix that in my next version probably

yea..i retract my previous statement. Tso's arcemu repack v12 has trainers fixed and alot of stuff that mangos doesn't have, but mangos will remain my favorite, i just like the databases more.Also the commands are better. :D

well. basically.
My Custom Database - Everything spawned. Quite buggy with database error. And with custom, fun server npcs and vendors, but not spanwed. If you want a funserver you spawn yourself.
Frozen Database - Everything spawned, but buggy and with database errors.
Unified Database - Nothing of DK's are spawned, but hardly anybugs and NO database errors. But not much WotLK Content.

download a different repack that has that file and drag it over, try one of the earlier versions...

2- Then go to the database and look for Realmd open the Account table and go to column "gmlevel" write a 3 if you want to be a gm in a game if not write 0

Im having trouble making the vmaps folder. I can make the maps folder then do the vmap extractor and get the buildings folder but i cant use the assembler to make vmaps and i get an error.

Use this files. If you have two versions of wow on the computer (2.4.3 and 3.0.3 )before extract maps run wotlk (3.0.3)close it and after you extract the maps

i also have 1 more problem most of the npcs dont have anything when i right click on them say the guards in orgrimmar i wanna ask for directions when i click them they just say somethin but nothin to choose eg class trainers

also none of the trainers can class/weapon trainers work they just say somethin but theres no menu for me to click and learn skills or anything

FOR EVERIBODY TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM.

EMPTY YOUR CHARACTERS DATABASE

1 BY 1 ALL TABLES IN CHARACTER DATABASE (Rigth Click and choose Empty Table)

When you empty all the character creation work perfect...

@hackah Man When you done to test the repacks you erase all acounts but you let the characters database full of your characters data please empty the character database queh you upload a repack.

:) is becouse database is combine (UDB +Frozen Database)...try latest UDB, is more stable and without many errors, but on UDB is not spawned many zones.

I think I'm going to give Mangos a try, I've never really used it before. From what I hear it's more complicated (what I mean is, alot of configs and stuff you need to change and the commands are different...etc) But I hear it's more stable and contains less bugs.

correct. udb HAS ABSOLUTELY NO errors in database, but only that no WOTLK areas are spawned. so what do you guys prefer? all spawned or no spawned. no spawned has no db errors thoguh

tell me one thing that no spawned areas means that not have wowlk content exp: items lvl 80, trainers lvl 80 spells or is spawned only...???

My personal opinion , i prefer that every class work without buggs in spells and talents points.... what database give me this posibility..???

UDB has absolutely no errors only that wotlk content is not spawned such as npcs and vendors and gobs

ehm first of all its always nice to see someone compiling, editing, configuring and making repacks.

but i'd like to know what the specs of these repacks are? is the v6. with the rev 8023? and what compatible db structure are you using? and known bugs for the repacks would be very nice :)
