Installing
Since Version 1.2 It Uses A Self Extractor!
1. Download The Self Extractor Above!
2. When it is done open the .exe file
3. It will Ask you Where to Put it..
4. MAKE SURE it says "C:\" under where it says destination folder!!!
5. When it is done open mysql, Logon, and World. Poof your done :)

Are you sure your folders are like this? C:/Aspire Core/Aspire Core+Extra+Server Folders?

yes you need 3.0.3 inorder to use Aspire 3.0.3 Repack
usually when you go into the connect loop you have wrong revision

Okay I updated to 3.0.3 and i load wow, and now it don't even load at all, says invalid login and password when I try the admin account.

Well I don't know, its quite buggy, I just did 2.4.2 with the 7.8 Ascent and works great, so I don't think this works. Same settings, samething, just different repack.

Your WoW Folder > Data > enUS > realmlist.WTF

I'm getting the same issue as Sallygirl. Just bult a new workstation in case it was the build of my OS from a known good image. I'll see if that works.

Jenkins, can you repost your links for the maps and sql fixes?

Same issue also as sallygirl. The corresponding conf files seem to be correct. Also, in order to get the Apache to run, I had to replace all "AC Web Ultimate Repack" entries in httpd.conf with the correct path "Aspire Core".

I got it to work on another machine in my LAB. The only difference I can see is that I used an administrator account on the working machine where I used an account that belonged to the administrator group on the other. I am not sure why that would make a difference however it was the only difference of substance (besides hostname and IP). Both machines are actually a VMWare Clone of XP Workstation so they are built exactly the same. It may be that the file was just corrupted when I downloaded it. It may be beneficial to include an MD5 Hash with the file so people can verify its integrity.

Well I can set the server up without problems, but when I go in game we don't discover new places for example if we go to a place where we hav never discovered yet, it doesnt show: You ahve discovered: "MAP". When we go to World Map it doesnt show the new terrain either. All maps names are white. I have the maps folder in the Aspire core folder same as DBC.

Wow, great server, It works, but now I am trying to use my old chars from 2.4.2 and use them with 3.0.3 and I can't see my chars. So with that said, is there a way to export your chars from 2.4.2 and import them into 3.0.3.

If so, what is the best way. I use Navicat.

I am getting the same error message when I try to run the logonserver and the world files.

I downloaded AC Web Ultimate today as well, but then realized it was only for 2.x versions. So, I looked over the conf files of both AC Web Ultimate and Aspire and the Aspire conf files looked perfectly fine.

I have no problems running MySQL or Apache, btw.

Update: Okay using Navicat I am able too import and export my char db. I use .txt and it don't load the chars at all. If I use the .xls it loads my chars but their all naked. LOL. Hmmmmm. Has something to do with import and export feature.

Edit: Well it seems the creators of the site are still messing around with it and my link is broken. In short, you need to update to .NET Framework 3.5 to get logon and world to run.

I can get into the game and it runs nice. I haven't been testing it very long (< 1 hr) but I have found that the inscription trainer isn't in Orgrimmar. Also I have found VERY few quests that work. Not only that, but almost no NPC's talk or even have quests. I read that a couple of these bugs will be worked on, but I am just posting them as you asked. At this rate I doubt that I'll be testing any more until I see an update, or solution.

ok well here are some general fixes

logonserver / world don't work? = get .net framework 3.5
there is no dbc extractor and how i use vmaps and what are they = vmaps :version maps not needed but only used if your making it public, use search button and there is no dbc extractor dbc included
no updates :/ = halfway into 1.2 and yes quests aren't suppose to work
character copy = you may try copying fields in the logon/character database but it could crash you

technically u dont even need apache, or at least i dont use it, just use Mysql, but i think u have to go into the mysql folder in C:/aspirecore/server/mysql and ull see 3 mysql things, one says install, uninstall and reroot use the install one
then try ur mysql

Mysql works fine for me, it's just i want to make mine public over hamachi so i can play with my friend, but it doesn't start, thats why i need it. And i don;t rly get what you mean by the 2nd part any way.

you don't need apache but it wasn't configured I will, in the new releases add this pre-configured. Im haveing major problems getting this to work. The SQL starts, but the world.exe and logon.exe give an error that they arent configured properly the instant I try to launch them. Ok i found the answer, updateing from 3.0 to DOT.NET 3.5 made it work.

Okay, I was able to bring all of my chars and accounts from one server to another. Cool ehh? If you have Navicat, you load the SQL for the old server. Login too it with Navicat.

Goto Logon, Accounts open it up and select all fields until their all highlighted. Right click and copy.

Quit SQL and load up the new server SQL, Login too you SQL server, goto Logon, Account, and paste all the information in there.

You want too do this too 3 db's. accounts, characters, and playeritems.

Now for some reason their are 2 sections in the aspire repack DB.

Their is accounts, and logon of which contain all the same files.

So with that said you'll want to do it to both areas.

This is a awesome repack but a few glitches. Example, stormwind guards are holding colored white/blue checker boxes, rather then shields.

I will give the props to the person that wrote this repack because so far things are pretty cool with it.

I hope this guide helps when you bring your accounts / chars from the old server too new without the hassle of creating new accounts, and chars.

I will further test out everything to make sure there isnt something that I have missed.

So far the only thing that I have encountered is the guild. Where you setup the emblem etc.

Ya this repack is very buggy, but its all we have for wotlk. Portals dont seem to work, ships ect. Hopefuly they'll fix it soon.

Make sure you have the complete folder on your C: Drive. The root dir C:

Anywhere else it will not load SQL.

Ex "C:\Aspire Core"

This goes for all repacks. Unless you edit the my cfg file in the sql bin folder and change the path in there.

If you manually start mysql, the program is "mysqlD" it will open then close, it just appears to be closed, it simply hides.

Thats an easy one....dont use launcher.exe
You have to make a new shortcut to wow.exe and use it.
Launcher fixes the realmlist, puts it back to blizz.

The realmlist.wtf is changing the config.wtf file
Al you need to change is
World of Warcraft\Data\enUS\realmlist.wtf
You can still use the launcher but it will try to download and install any new updates, so I would use the Wow.exe like privatemike stated.

Working for me. DB fixes listed in release forum, flags set to 32, and wotlk installed. Couldn't do allot with the DK but I could create one and login.

I Know it's not ment to be a wotlk release but it's been solid so far.

Well the copying and paste works for me. Before when you had V1.1 the mysql didnt work now with V1.2 it works both were in C Drive maybe suttin was wrong with the batch file? or the installation im not sure. Im about to go ingame to test.

Ok here is my issue maybe someone can help me figure this out basicly i got the server runing find everything is loaded but how can i connect to my server? i went and i went into my WOW folder and open up the WTF folder inside there is a file called Config which im sure thats the file i must edit to connect to my server or em i wrong? i changed the us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com to my IP and it changes back to us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com can anyone help me?

you need the repack to be in a folder named "Aspire 3.0.3 repack" as whoever made it set the installer to name the folder WRONG!
I simply made a new folder named it CORRECTLY and cut the contents of WRONG folder and pasted to CORRECT folder all is good

What do I need to do to run around in wotlk content and set my character to level 80. I've done the DK sql fixes and tried every flag I have seen posted but still can't do anything.

if you extracted it then it is installed except that it needs to be in a folder in the root directory of c:\ not where the extraction puts it so create a folder with the correct name and cut and paste al files and folders into it.

then edit the world.conf files and rem out the die directive lines with a # in front of the lines save and start mysql.bat in the server folder, and then in the aspire folder run the logonserver.exe file and world.exe file and server is running

24 for WOTLK and 8 FOR TBC and 0 FOR NONE.

Suggest you go into */server/mysql/bin/

open my.cnf with notepad or whichever.
and edit the links to match your installation..

EKSAMPLE could look like this

c:/myshittywowsever/Server/mysql/bin/mysqld.exe

there might be 3 links in that repack but u get the idea..

I have a few questions....

When ever i try to edit the realm config file... the game never changes to the new settings. It still says the defalt name... and then itll get stuck at "Conected"... how can i edit the config files with out getting stuck and the settings to show up correctly?

Is this the new pack? or is the 4.0 one the newest? and what happened on that one, all the objects in SW are all over the place?

Hi, first I wanna say that this is a great repack, or as close to great as you can get at the moment. ;P
It is the first one that doesn't crash, has a decent database and actually has all the GM Commands, I've tried I think 4 or 5 different repacks the past 2 days, and this is the first one to work, and it works almost flawless, the only problems I have now are a few bugs and an incomplete database. But I hope that time will solve these problems. :)

This is my problems so far, although I've only played as a Human Mage, and not for very long since I downloaded it today. Oh, and I tried a Death Knight, I'll post some about that too.

I'll try to keep my lists short and simple...

Mage
*As far as I can tell, all Spells and Talents is present.
*Can't learn Living Bomb (Rank 2 & 3) from trainer, although I have Rank 1 talented. I have not tried to relog though, as was given as a solution for dualwielding above. Will report back.
*Mage Buffs such as Arcane Power, Icy Veins etc. don't work. You click them, cooldown starts, but nothing happens. Same thing happens (or rather, don't happen) with Invisibility and Mirror Image.
*When casting the last rank of [Conjure Water], [Conjure Food], [Conjure Mana Gem] and [Conjure Refreshment] I get disconected, when casting refreshment I think even my server crashes. I am not sure whether this applies to the lower ranks as well, I will check that and report back.
*Any damaging firespell will give you the buff Firestarter(granting you an instant Flamestrike), it should only happen when Dragon's Breath or Blast Wave does damage.
*The talent Hot Streak doesn't work. When critting twice in a row with Fireball, Fire Blast, Scorch or Frostfirebolt it should give a buff which grants you an instant cast Pyroblast, this don't happen.
*I have not specced Fiery Payback, but if it works the way I think it does then it is applied at all times, making every Pyroblast have shorter casttime but longer cooldown.(I have experience of this on private servers recently, I'll check this out and report back the result)


Death Knight(since I've found this out I have to report it although I guess it's been said before. :P)
*Starting area is missing NPCs and Runeforges. And when creating a DK the food you have is (Level 45 Fungi food) I think, but it's name is in german(as is the runeforges I've seen on private servers).
*Spells don't work, it says you don't have any runes.(I assume it's the runes shown at your portrait?)

[B]Other things
*Glyphs don't work/don't exsist.(not in database I assume)
*The T7 gear is very buged, some(or in a few cases many) pieces are gray quality without stats, and some pieces have wrong names. example: [DK Naxxramas 10 Man Shoulders] or something similar I think it was.
*The item table in the database must have a row too much/a row too little because all items seems to have a comment that says "-1".
*[Primal Mooncloth Bag] isn't BoE, it's just like a normal item.
*Instances don't work, my guess is tha tit has to do with areatriggers or the like, since it always say something about "areatrigger <digit>". Molten core works though, but Blackrock Dephts don't, I had to recall to MC.
*Some quests have very long names(Row mixup in the Quest table in DB?) The name of the quest is the description given by questgivers(the main body of the text).
* I big plus for mounts and pets being learned, not using the old system as I've seen on some other repacks/servers, there is just one problem, the tab in the character info for Pets/Mounts you've learned don't exsist...So you can learn the mounts and pets, but not use them. This should be a major thing to do I think, since people use mounts a lot.(I'm a GM on my server, so I don't need it other than for fun, but if someone makes their server public/plays with friends it is good to have this working.)

That's all for now, I'll keep you posted if/when I find more bugs.

Also, for the people who have had problems with Maps or VMaps, I'm posting links for it, as well as a link to a working VMaps extractor, since some people seemed to have problems with the current one. In the VMaps upload there is a folder called Buildings, I'm not sure it's neccesary to have it since noone have ever mentioned it, but I usually put it in my Server folder anyways. If this is unneccesary, please tell me so and I'll add another upload without it. :)

This is what i did, I have some old repacks, and libmysql.dll is included there so i just copy it and put it into this repack.

i think i figured out the way of invalid weapon ID. I donwloaded the latest WhyDB from faddix thread. i Haven't tested it yet but i think it will work
