Well, it seems alot of people still use Mangos (Yeah i thought that too, but the Mangos forum has alot more members online than Ascent ) so i will be introducing Mangos into the forum. Currently in develoment is a mangos repack, and i will update the downloads section with mangos compiles and databases too. So to all you Mangos users out there, enjoy and have fun!

Edit:

Nvm, as i have been making the new repack i have discovered that mangos truly and royally sucks. There will be no mangos repack.

Go for it Jargs. I will try it after you release MaNGOS repack.

I do have noobpack(tbc)4.00 and this is the close thing that I have. The problem that I have on it is the 137 error crap after update MaNGOS. So I'm stick on the one that came with noobpack(tbc)4.00. Oh yea I found 1 crashes that is in SW so far. Anyway animals, people and monsters are walking around on this MaNGOS version and Ascent can't do that on a lot of places. MaNGOS is more stable unless they broken it on later releases.

Does animals, people and monsters still walking around on newer MaNGOS?

Did you know that Burlex (Head-dev of Ascent) rewrote half of mangos update/core system or whatever it is and personally offered it to mangos developers. They refused to use it. Conceited devs they have..

Mangos had less issues but was never up to date like Ascent\Antrix is. Maybe this team can get something going with Mangos. Nice job Jargs.

Many people may use mangos, but in my opinion, it doesn't mean it's popular or the better choice, but I do support the fact that you're offering it...

Ascent's definitely got it's highs, and most certainly it's crappy bugs that actualy don't 'emulate' the retail wow very well at all sometimes.

But why fill up the forum with such unnecessary space? MaNGOS is not an emulator for servers, that's just it, it's an educational project for building the best MMORPG Server. Now how do you build a universal MMORPG server? you start with a game, and they chose WoW.

TBH, xUdd was right in that thread, Ascent was made for servers, Database cleaning, Multi-Threading and SQL caching are some of the proper ways to stabilize the servers. The only issue with Ascent is, there are only 2 devs working on spells, then again, MaNGOS had a big jump with hunanza and some Russian Devs posting humongous amounts of patches to fix up spells & talents, which for some odd reason, Vladimir had no trouble accepting.

I'm not saying MaNGOS is better than Ascent (far from it) but, i want to provide it to the people who choose MaNGOS over Ascent.

True, true, just make a post saying Ascent is better before you get spammed with questions :P

Also, if I remember right, MaNGOS is based on an old leak of Ascent.

I'm out of this thread. :P
