the text for a banner needs to be more clearly readable. And the Blue doesn't blend with the Eye, and that thing in the middle. Also the banner as a whole doesn't match the border. Anyways, I definitely wouldn't say this is a 8/10 sorry man.

of course not, its a bit hard to draw something by hand and make it blend when it changes light intensity when uploaded into my comp. i will prob make a different one later anyways.

There are many ways to create this, i don´t remember this particular one, it was sitting on my hard drive.

Tree Jargs has the PSD for the boarder in the beginning of this thread for you to download. There are a lot of good flash programs out there there I like to use Adobe Flash CS4. But if I were to make a banner for this I would use Adobe Photoshop CS4.

How is the border screwed up? It is the same exact border that is on the site currently.

As for the distorted, it's not distorted, just blurred, as it was too pixelated before (the blur smoothed it out). It also made it look slightly 3D.

Just a hint for you all, make the banner twice it's normal size, or maybe 3x. Once you're done with it, then you shrink it down. It's the easy way to avoid choppiness and apply anti-aliasing. Good luck all! :D
