GUIDE: How TO INSTAL WOTLK!
You need : WOrld of Warcraft with Burning Crusade at 2.4.2 version.
AN alpha client to version 8334.
Howto: Ok after you have downloaded the pack, copy ad.exe and paste it into your FF Wotlk ALpha folder!!!! (must have the large one 2.6 gb)
1. Create a Folder called maps in the WOTLK directory
2.Start ad.exe
Now after you have started it (it must go normal all the way dont click/touch anything just leave it be and go play somewhere)and it finishes u are ready to go to next step.
3. Create three databases.
a: characters
b: realmd
c: mangos
(Look for the DB in the upper menu and u will find create database)
4. When u are ready, right click every db (starting with characters first, after u are done, u do it on mangos and then on realmd) and then restore to SQL dump. There u search for the sql files which are in the pack at the Database folder. Before u select anything, minimize and go unrar it. Now first select characters then restore to sql dump then the characters.sql and the same for the other DB.
5. Copy the maps folder from the WOTLK FF (COPY NOT CUT!!!!) and paste it in the server directory.
6.Start realmd.exe then mangosd.exe
You shouldnt have any errors i did it like that i didnt have even ONE error.
7. When mangosd.exe loads u will hear a beep sound and u will see a console. To create an account type:
.create accountname pass
To make it gm type:
setgm accountname
To make it BC (recommended) type:
setbc accountname 1
FINAL STEP: Go to your realmlist.wtf and delete EVERYTHING (patchlist too) and type set realmlist 127.0.0.1
AND then LOGIN and play the ALPHA :)
