I have been thinking of making a website that allows GMs to access the database. I have worked with this type of thing before, used to build online shops, involving mysql, so the principle should be similar.

Its basically to allow things like bugged players, so they can access the database and move them to designated start points or cities without the need for me to be at my pc and do it.

I'm going to incorporate the ability for GMs to look at players inventory and things like that, in case of dissapearing items and the like.

All just ideas at the minute, but its something I will definately get around to doing.

It will likely be in .asp as its the one I know most about.

Anyone think of any other handy things that can't be easily done in game that would be good to have access to I could try and incorporate?

well, you could make a help portal of wtf you wanner call it, where ppl type a word fx spawn it makes up idea of spawn fx how to spawn npc and such :) would be awsome since ppl always write "what is the command to bla bla bla" :)

Had another thought, IF I ever figure out the dbase, I could make a section that allows boss details to be checked. Rather than have to scour through the database it would already know exactly where to look and present all the relevant details in a nice webpage front, making it much easier to change spawn times, loot drops etc.

Its a long shot, but providing I can make sense of how it works, making the front end would be easy enough.
