Website and Server Setup Test

Hi

I have set up an account website and a server and was wondering if anyone could help me see If it is working ok.

The web addrress is http://www.achay.dyn-o-saur.com/

The realm for the server is achay.dyn-o-saur.com

It works for me, but then im on the actul server so might simply be bypassing something. Could anyone try those out and let me know if they run into a problem. No need for hamachi, at least I hope not :)

Don't see why people use hamachi then, took me literally a few line changes and it was done. I'm even using a dynamic IP via dyndns, so much easier to setup that I thought.

I flagged you as GM now xZer0x in case you fancy having a poke about in there. I'll leave it running next few hours see how it holds up. If anyone else wants to help test it be my guest.

Ok I have made a few of you GMs please don't abuse my server. Call or summon whatever you like, make yourselves whatever level you like, just dont change any server settings :)

Man server is down right now but it worked perfectly.. i had no lagg at all.. it is really nice i got mage lvl 70 full tier 6 <33

Not sure what happened there, I got kicked trying to port then others started dropping out.

Can't see why everyone else was getting kicked server didnt log, changed a few things and restarted, if you can post back any details if it kicks you again would be handy.

I'm seeing a lot of invalid calls on server and some unusual commands being used, please be careful in there and only use what you know works :)

PC just pitched a fit dunno what went on, and still no logs were made, turned them on though ill have a another look.

Going to check all the files so dunno how long its gonna be down, gotta be soemthing not right. Did someone mention a lot of spells were missing or not working?

I'm going to remove GM flags when I put it back up again in case the invalid calls were causing the crashing, no idea to be honest but a day of normal play will either not crash and then guess it was invalids or crash anyway so something else wrong.

And there I thought a server would be fun :P

dude the server crashed cus we set our sizes to like 1000 just put it up again and it'll be fine

Well I started it up again before I went to bed last night, and something is really messed up. NPC's were dropping dead as I walked near them, even named NPCs who I've never seen die.

Not sure how im going to get around it, might have to do a db wipe. Hope noone is too attached to their character :P

Well I'm giong to test it this morning for a while see if its still happening. Some of you may find you no longer have GM control. I want to run the server normally today. Well, when I say normally I'm going to boost most of the rates of XP and stuff so should be easy enough to lvl and stuff.

I have found a couple of 2.1.0 databases, a lot smaller than the defualt but maybe they are just additionals, ill leave server up for a while then start to add them later.

One is called data and one structures, not sure what it will change, hopefuly not break it.

Not really much I can help you with setup that the guide doesnt show. Any specific problems you have post and well try to help.

It appears my database was wrong, a lot smaller than the one I should have done. Uploaded the bigger one now along with the custom vendors. All your characters are gone but acocunts are still there. I'll figure out how to back up characters too soon, just don't get too attached in case I wipe again.

Server will be up soon. Still in Test Mode so report any problems you have here please :)

Well had another lock up tonight. I'm noticing lag spikes and freezes before it goes, gonna have to start monitoring resources on my PC see whats going on, should be more than enough to handle it but might be something not right.

LAWL! Your computer diffinatly should have no problem running Antirx. The Offical AC-Web one runs on a
2.2g AMD 64
512 KB L2 Cache
160 GB Segate HDD
2GB Kingston DDR 400

With tuns of stuff running in the BG. So, You should have no problem.

Sounds like a firewall/router issue try and port forward if you have a router or disable firewall just to check it. Im off to bed now hope you get it sorted.

Advertised server for first public test today, could all GMs please help anyone who joins and behave :P Its going public so no killing each other ar general messing about hehe.

Any items or levels they request can you help them out, if they want 70 thats fine, whatever, more people I get running about doing their own thing the sooner I know it all works.

Hehe yeah seems to have become the case. Noone else will be getting GM now as we have enough to check all the instances etc, and they also know it will be revoked once server goes live then everyone will have to apply for the positions.

Well I attempted to switch to the new repack for the t6 items, and the accounts got a bit messed up. You can all still log in but I no longer have control of their status. Anyone who was GM before please make a new account and contact me ingame with your new acocunt name.

Well seems my idea of giving everyone GM to test server instances and things didn't quite work as I had imagined. You may all have noticed on login all set to normal players again.

Seems when I said about making anyone who wants to check instances and stuff can get GM was roughly translated as have GM and go nuts. This doesn't apply to everyone of course, but figured this would be fairest way to sort it.

Lesson learned :)

Anyone who would like to be a GM again please PM me with a few details, don't post here as I dont want a load of people writing the same stuff :D

1. Where you live - need to cover all timezones if possible
2. Have you actually been a GM before? I haven't I just run the server so I need a few people who actually know what they are doing till I get the hang of it.
3. What do you plan to do when your made GM while server is still being tested.
4. Anything else you want to add.
