when i try to make a new weapon i run into a little problem.

im using OBDB2 from the downloads section and HeidiSQL. I take the ID number from wowhead like you said.. but when i do a search for said ID nothing comes up in the DB. i tested the ID ingame by typing .additem <ID> and i got the item i was looking for.

any ideas why my search is coming up empty? they custom weapon wont work with out the actual display ID. i tried using the ID from wowhead and got a blue checkered box.

Now for the DBCs. Open your DBCExtractor folder, and copy SFmpq.dll and MPQE.exe along with your area batch file to World of Warcraft\Data\enUS (The last directory will obviously change for differant areas). Now run the batch file, it will produce a folder called MPQOUT. Open that folder and you will see another folder (DBFilesclient) Rename DBFilesclient to DBC. Now copy the DBC folder to your antrix folder.

im also using the AC-Web Repack with the OBDB2 ... there wasnt a DBCExtractor or SFmpq.dll or MPQE.exe. but my server works fine and i can .additem anything.

If i knew where those files were located maybe i could do that step of the setup process and that will fix my problem.

ok, i Downloaded the DBCExtractor from http://filebeam.com/28d5d2c82122a6bc432d7e1e2cf39cdd

i have MPQE.exe and SFmpq.dll but i cant find the 'area batch file' to put into C:\World of Warcraft\Data\enUS

Nice guide, i would recommend the Advanced mode, cause:

- In help mode, you can choose only teh wrost selections ever

- In advances, you can put like... In 30 yard range from you kills all Enemies, yeh you heard...i mean Saw right !

What do you mean in game? You change column name in database, not in game.

I've tried to make my own weapon, I did exactly like you did but with navicat.
When i try to add the weapon ingame it only says invalid id (or something like that)

when i made my own wepon and inport it hedisql gave me an error about and press the triangle thing it show SQL Error: Unknow column 'name' field list

To fix that you should see 4 sets of "name" i.e. name, name2, name3, name4 at the start of the batch.

put a "1" by the first "name" name1, name2, name3, name4. that will fix it.

well i got this ascent repack and made a costum item in the same way you show in that movie, executed in in the server and now my server won't start anymore.
how is this possible?

nate since 6.5 wow-v has been making troubles for me :( everytime i reload items i get crashdumps ....yeah well i cannot add anything the whole db is fucking up....do you know the problem and anyone here know how to get a really nice sign up / forum website for a server :P and if you are able to put in harbringer of k'os in the next repack i would fucking scream by happiness :)

duplicate means that the .additem id you are using to the weapon are already in the database :) choose another and you will do fine ^^ i got more problems than that :) my server crashes all the time :P i can only make trinkets in the db but then when i reload items table my server crashes and the whole db to lol

I'm using SQLyog and im trying to "Import Data From a CSV File". (The SQL file from the item maker on wow-v)

CSV Import Result: Records: 2 Deleted: 0 Skipped: 2 Warnings: 264

All 264 warnings are the same thing: Row 1 doesn't contain data for all columns.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?


EDIT: Nevermind. i figured out what i was doing wrong. Hope this works... Guess I didnt figure out what I did wrong. When I try to add the item in game says invalid item :(

Nevermind. I'm just a noob so please excuse me :) . Finaly got it working. Ended up deleting all the items i tried to make from my DB, saved, then shut everything down. Restarted MySQL and SQLyog and saved the DB again for good measure. Loaded up Ascent and logon server and then logged in to WoW and made sure all my characters didn't have any of the items on them. Made a new item, this time with a lower ID, went with 40000 instead of 123456. Everything went smoothly this time. Thanks for the Tut! :)

For anyone getting the invalid item error, try changing the number to something from 40000 to 50000, that worked for me. I think the big numbers are interfering with the database.

Never mind I fixed that part I think.
