You stated two themes, one of which was comic heroes. Because you can only choose one theme, I took the better one into account.

Good theme.

Summary: First I jotted down around 15 comic book heroes (and a few villains) I really liked and thought would make good sig choices. Then I spent around 3 hours looking at stocks / renders for the selected choices and saved any images I thought might be worth (ended up with around 32 images). From there I went back and eliminated the ones I didn't feel were up to par and decided to go with one of my original top hero choices because I was in the mood to do this color anyway. I spent around an hour and a half on the actual sig. From the character's expression I knew I wanted to go with a darker, more melancholy/sinister feeling for the sig. I wanted to make him look like an anti-hero if you will. Anyway, I think my result turned out pretty good, and I feel that I nailed the coloring, lighting, and did pretty good on the text.

I'm not all that great at sigs. Don't defeat yourself before you even try. :|

My summary, I spent about 2.5 hours browsing renders,stocks until I found an appropriate one that fit the theme and had potential of a dramatic impression. Then, I spent an hour or two browsing comic book sigs, possibly finding some inspiration on a path to take for the signature. I was unable to find any style that applied well to my stock, so I went on to plan B and just freestyled the heck out of it. I added some cool fx that were meticulously placed to liven up the signature a bit, as well as added dramatic lighting to add some realism and finally some smudging to blend things a bit more. I feel just based off attention to detail alone and creativity, this signature should be a top contender. Wish me luck, I will need it going against Baked :(

Entry Summary:
Spent ages looking for a villain that I liked, but couldn't really decide. Then I searched each villain I was thinking of using, in planet renders to find a good render - but most were terrible. I decided on my villain [Finally] then failed to create a decent sig, and re-done it about three times. Tbh i think i've been in photoshop about 4 hours. D:

In the end, I did manage to create and average sig. D:

My Entry Summary:
I spent about 1 hour looking for renders / stocks and other useful things that could be used. My actual signature took about 4 hours in total, I actually made 3 different signatures so I had to decide aswell which took me some time ;) All in all it took me about.. 6 hours or so. I decided to enter even though Baked is in ;P Who knows, I may be lucky.

Entry Summery:
This signature took me about half a hour to make, and I think it turned out great. I chose Batman for no reason but I had a render of him and I said, why not. I would but this in my top 10 peices of artwork for therefore I find it pretty awesome. Hopefully I win, if not hopefully I'll at least be in the top 3 :)
