[Tutorial] How to make your Antrix server public with Hamachi

Alright. I have seen tons of people asking how to make their server public. So, Here's a step by step guide on how to.

NOTE: DUE TO THE FACT THAT JARGS HAS ENABLE A FLOOD SETTING ALLOWING ONLY 10 PICTURES, I'M GOING TO HAVE TO DO THE NOT AS IMPORTANT PARTS IN HTML FORMAT, JUST CLICK THE LINK AND FOLLOW THE TEXT BELOW IT. PS. I LOVE YOU JARGS -THANKS, THORZ-

Step One:

Make sure you have Antrix installed. If not here's a link to the latest AC-Web Repack (http://www.ac-web.org/forum/showthread.php?t=74).

Step Two:

Download and Install Hamachi (http://www.hamachi.cc).

Once you download it, Follow the instructions below on Installing.

Hamachi Install:

Once Hamachi is downloaded, open it up and you should see a screen like this.

Click Next.

Check "I accept the agreement." Then click Next.

Fill in where you want your Hamachi to be installed, and if you want it to start when Windows starts, and if you want a shortcut on your desktop. Then click Next.

Click Next. This part is optional. If you are new to Hamachi leave it alone.

This part is again option, signing up for the Premium is optional. If you are new to Hamachi, I suggest going basic.

After you click next, Hamachi will start installing. Once you are done you will get a screen like this. Click Next.

Now that Hamachi is done installing, It's time to set it up so other can connect. Check "Run Hamachi". Then click next.

Click on the power button on the lower left part of the Hamachi application, after this is done a window will pop-up asking for you to fill out some information. This information is just your nick name over Hamachi, and can be changed at a later date. This part is not valuable so the information can be whatever you want.

Click on the Triangle in the bottom right part of your Hamachi application, once that's done select "Create a new network."

Once you have selected "Create a new network" A window will open up asking you for some information, fill it out and click Ok.

Alright, At this point you are done with Hamachi.

Step Three

Now were going to modify our .Config files.

Open up your Antrix.Conf file.

After opening your Antrix.conf file. Change it to look like the above config file.

Now open your Logonserver.Conf

After opening your Logonserver.conf file. Change it to look like the above config file.

Lastly open your Realms.Conf

The Config files are done. It's time to move onto the next step.

Step Four
I'm not going to put pictures for this part because it's common sense.

Step One:
Start your wow server using all three of the AC-Web repac files starting with application 1 ending at 3.

Step Two:
Contact your friend who plays wow, and wants to play on your wow server.

Step Three:
Tell them to download Hamachi, and install it with the tutorial above, but when they get to the network part, instead have them "Join an existing network." Using the information of the network you created.

Step Four:
Create an account for them in the DB using Navicat so they can login.

Step Five:
Have them change their Realmlist.WTF to "Set Realmlist "127.0.0.1"

Step Six:
Have them connect. Enjoy.

Enjoy the tutorial/guide, whatever you want to call it.. Ill clean it up later. Just getting it out there for all who need it.. If you still need help or your confused, or it doesn't work for you please post so I can figure out what's wrong.

It does, you just need to forward the ports.

Aye mate. I don't know much about D-Link.. Try checking your routers website and see if it tells you how to setup port forwarding, or I might try asking Jargs.. Because I think he has a D-Link.. Atleast I know his tutorial w/o Hamachi has a picture of a D-Link router. Don't know though.

What do you mean? Navicat has nothing to do with making your server public.

Azax; To create new accounts open Navicat, Make a new connection, name the connection Antrix or something. The user name is root and the password is antrix. Once that's done click okay, and you would see it appear on the left hand side. Click on Antrix, then click on Antrix again. You should see a bunch of info show up on the right, click on the one that says accounts. It should open and you should see your Admin account. If so, click the little plus symbol down at the bottom of the new window, and proceed following the cell names to put the info in for the new account.

But as for your issue with the .modify hp. The reason it's giving you an error and not working is because you need to do .modify hp 1000 1000. It needs a max value.

You can do it with a website that comes with the package or by manually editing the database

1) Make sure that everything is running. (1), (2), (3).
2) Try your Hamachi with the port. I.E: "set realmlist HAMACHIIP:8129"
3) Disable your Firewalls.

Can anyone tell me what my problem is:

I set my router and modem to pass through everyone to my LAN ip and it displays the website just fine and even displays the server online when I ping my server with WoW-FE from http://wowstatus.net/ but after it logs in successfully it stops at logging into server. Why is this? How can I fix this?

Extra INFO:

I used DMZ for both my router and modem.
I will not post my ip due to no protection =]

Well I have a "Problem" atm... Those .Conf files in tut is different than I have :S
So Thorz Could you Update those .conf files to the .conf files in Repack 5.0? or could you even post img's how it should be in 5.0?

I think I got those .conf files to work but now the problem is: How i can make an account for my friend... I tried that you (thorz) said before but when im trying to open connection to "Antrix" connection i get error: "2003 - Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)".... so could you tell me what i need to do :confused: (or tell me another way to make the account :p)

As for making an acct, u can use navicat or u can use ur website.

For that error are u sure ur MySQL is on? did u change some of the navi info in your config files?

I'm having problems with this Hamachi thing. Everything goes swimmingly up to where i have to log in. I set my realmlist to my friend's hamachi IP, isnt that what I do when i join his hamachi connection?

But after that, i try and log in. My account works fine, authentication and everything, but.. when i log in i get stuck at "Logging in to server" forever, if i push enter, it goes back to the Realm List, which I'm connecting to fine. But if i try to connect to that server it gets stuck at Logging in to game server.

Also when we change everything back so my friend can play on his own, it sometimes gets stuck at connected for him.

Any help?

Yeah you need navcat, its very usefull for editing, also they mean the control panel. When they say "starting with one ending with three," i believe he was refering to the control panel that comes with the repack

I have a problem with my server, it seems to be running fine, im running off hamachi i did everything correct... i think. But w/e I try to log in with admin admin or any other account i make doesnt work. same goes for my friends that are trying to get on. Please help.

What, if any, is the difference between an Antrix server and an Ascent server. When I search for "making server public with Hamachi," All I get is this one with Antrix, and my .conf files are way different. Can someone help me?

i have had the same problem alot of people have had, cant connect to server or realm, and friends get the unable to connect, my hamachi ip address as it is on the hamachi is wrong, i had to go to my network connections on my pc and opne up my hamachi connection to get the right ip.

this tut is not innacurate in any way, hamachi has buggd and it no longer displays the correct ip where it should change your files accordingly

Okay i did every step you told me to to get my server up with Hamachi cuz im using a wireless signal to do this and i dont know the router info at this time.now when i try to start the (1) start MYSQL it tells me the ECHO is off and them gives me a ERROR cant find messagefile. and aborts. what am i doing wrong.

Hey, umm iv done everything and i can connect fine and other ppl can connect fine but my freind says he cant...says its the rong login information...

I tried to use Hamachi because the method without it did not work.

When I set up my server and have my friend connect to the hamachi, it works fine. With his realmlist set to my Hamachi IP, he tried to join. It seems like he can connect, but he gets stuck at Handshaking.

Can anybody look into this and provide me with a solution?

Yeah Well hamachi sucks soo there, pluse theres no need theres all ready a guid from Jargs for wiht out hamachi and its a bit simpler



lol on hamachi sucks do u know anything about Internet secuirity 8) hamachi is far safer than broadcasting your real IP addy for a nice tasty IP sniffer especially if your opening up port 80 and so on your asking for trouble 8)

I encountered a problem.
I tested my account creation page.
All was looking good.
I entered some information to try if the creation will work

password: eerder
email:My own email

pressed create account and in the upper left of my internet explorer stays this text:

When I am looking in the index.php on line 479 I found this:
