New repack has been released today, it will now run on flash drives (or any drives) and it comes with a brand new control panel (it has themes and is a lot more stable):

If i try to open next.. it comes with an error, that says: "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

maybe , maybe not.. have u tried to find him in the DB?... he may have gotten removed i wouldnt know i dont use gm island cause nubs cheat to get there and i dont like the layout of it.

o and there is nothing wrong with the repack , apparently only the uber nubs have problems eitehr installing or transitioning to it from 7.4 ,,, i tested it both ways and no errors at all thru the entire process..

I installed it and put my ip into the realms.conf. The logonserver.exe or ascent.exe wont even start. Something like "the side by side definition is corrupt". Or when I try to launch them with the launcher it says "file not found". I did exactly like i did with 7.4, and 7.4 works.

Well you can depatch to 2.0 by deleting some patch.mpq and then using repair.exe..

The patch.mpq file is found in (for most ppl) C:\program files\world of warcraft\data\patch.mpq

spleee101 just erase ac-web repack and download it agian...follow the intrusctions to the letter then restart your pc...sometimes reseting your computer helps

I haven't been on in a while, and I just went from Repack 7.0 to 7.5, and when I start Ascent, it gets an error. Am I missing something? All of the other programs run fine.

did you extract the maps enUS file to your WoW directory and then run the ad.exe and then copy the maps folder and place it in C:/ac-web/ascent

i forgot to do this step and got the message you refer too

Playing 2.3.3 on a server supporting 2.3.0 : All i did was change the 'Supported Version' in the config.
2.3.3 is 7799, so change the versions supported maxvalue to 7799 in the logonserver.conf near the end look for
<Client MinBuild = "6739"
MaxBuild = "7561">. Change to 7799

Dude: Youre a GM. CHEAT.
.Invisible will turn you invisible and NOTHING will attack you. Sometimes apparently you need to leave and reenter the current zone or something.

People having trouble with 'File cannot be found' errors. I had this with 7.4.
Unless something has changed you HAVE TO install to the default directory, there seem to be some hardcoded filepaths in the server, probably to the config files and what-not. Make sure you install the the default location on C:\ drive.

Hey Guys,

must admit i was thinking 'omg, noobville' with all the people saying logonserver gave them a file not found exception, because i got that with 7.4 when i installed to a custom directory.

Well, i did everything right installing 7.5 and it happened to me too.
LogonServer and Ascent executables give the same error (little hint right there) saying file not found, unhandled exception etc.
After searching the net for a while (keep finding some program called Ascent Connect which is widely used by people for something completely different) i found the problem.
Even after installing .NET framework 2.0 you MAY need to install the c++ redistributable. This fixed it for me.
If it doesnt fix it, try everything else your supposed to do (default install path, restart after install, install .Net Framework 2.0).
