weeeelllll it sounds like u made a password on ur sql? dont hold me to it, i obviously dont know anything but, if u opened the files on navicat try getting rid of the pass word otherwise i dont know, dont have much experience with it

i dunno i rigged the logonserver to work and it says success but...the world...not so much sucess, says theres a unterminated block in the arcemu-world.conf

Here are your editted conf files - I have commented where appropriate.

I also suggest you change your mysql and remote access passwords as the config files you posted are readily accessable

ok i feel like a semi genius

in ur world config the lines

<CharacterDatabase Hostname = "localhost" Username = "root" Password = "Microfiber" Name = "logon" Port = "3306" Type = "1">

makesure to make the names both logon as are in yellow

one thing after another...now when i sign in with the admin ect i click on the server and it constantly either sits on connect or i click it and it goes back to server selection...

Okay, i did everything as said but when i tryed running the logon and world exe's they both gave my this error:

This application failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. REinstalling may fix this problem.


Do i have to reinstall?

or is there something else i need to do...

Lightorious, thanks for helping me help the noobs.

And btw, you HAVE To Put it in C:\AC Web Ultimate Repack for anything with mysql to work. Thats where the Mysql program checks for its Data.

Oh and make sure You have mysql.bat, arcemu_logonserver.exe, and arcemu_world.exe.(Note i am tired so i may've got those wrong) but make sure their open before you try to play.

R3d i got the server running and i got the commands now but 1 problem :/ i cant get over level 70 with .levelup or .mod level so if its available plz tell me how to change level cap i need for some items my freind sended me

In your Ascent-Optional file

<Optional    StartingLevel = "1"
             LevelCap = "70"
             GenLevelCap = "70"
             AllowTBC = "1">

Change LevelCap to increase the level cap and GenLevelCap to increase how far you continue gain to hp, mana, intel....... If you raise the GenLevelCap, the stats normally go crazy, but you can try it out

To create new account, open up your DB with heidi, Navicat, or whatever you are using, select the Logon Database, go to accounts, and just throw in a new one. The process would be Open DB-->Logon DB-->Accounts-->Data-->Make your account (If you want to give them admin, its "az" without " " under GM)

why can i not log into the server? ive opened all ports but i cant down grade to 2.4...

ive deleted the patches and repaired...but it still loads as 3.0.1, i think the patch installed in the common.mpq and i cant delete that or else the repair will say theres too much damage and i cant play wow

I dont know then, try patching by hand, just google, and look for the patches. Or reinstall WoW, and patch up from there

i cant reinstall i dont have CDs but not to knock on this tute but!!! i found a core for 3.0.3 which requires u to use this tutorial anyways!

OMG!!! instead of downgrading to patch 2.4.? there is the same thing ac web pack like thing that is 3.0.3 / WOTLK hybrid, i cant remember the link... just look up Ac Ultimate repack 3.0.3, maybe its 3.3.8 i cant remember what it is and im to lazy to look it up so lol. but yea, and ty guys for all your help.

It does the same thing still! whys it be doing this!?!?!? and the logon thing just comes up and closes in less than 1/2 a second
